Ok, so we all know about how ancient structures are said to be made by aliens/demons/giants/fairies/Atlanteans/whatever.

Apparently in Wales, it used to be a thing to assume that ancient structures were built by the Irish. Which, ok, makes more sense, but still seems odd.

Today was a "who tf is Corey Feldman" - "why does his name keep coming up" - "why does he look and sound like Michael jackson!" - "why have I not seen any of his films" - "why is his music universally hated" - "wait, his albums are called what?" day.

First revelation: oh he was in famous movies but ones I watched far too young to remember much about. Can't recognise any of the work he's in after that.

Uh oh, nowt more eyebrow-raisingly ominous than an 80s kid actor trajectory though...

Second revelation: (well, the real timeline makes this Revelation 0 - the dreaded prequel - where curiosity's origin story began - but after studio meddling, here feels better paced) - This vid of some guy haven't watched before;

Third revelation: Hello wiki my old friend;

Corey's Angels

Corey Feldman with two of his Corey's Angels in 2015

In 2015, Feldman and his then-girlfriend, Courtney Anne Mitchell, appeared in an episode of the fourth season of the reality television series Celebrity Wife Swap. His girlfriend swapped with actor/comedian Tommy Davidson's fiancée, Amanda.[52] Feldman sees himself as a Hugh Hefner-like manager over the group of women known as "Corey's Angels". Feldman states that he had helped women get careers in life but through his company, Corey's Angels, he can have control over them and financially benefit. In the episode Feldman tells these women what to wear, eat, and do whatever he tells them to.[53] Some viewers found the episode disturbing and creepy. Corey's Angels is a musical group Feldman created.[54][55]

In September 2016, he made an appearance on the Today program to support his album Angelic 2 the Core,[56] which sparked backlash for its unusual nature.[57] Following the Today show appearance Feldman had an interview with The Hollywood Reporter where he discussed the creation of Corey's Angels. He said he met women at the Playboy Mansion who had dreams of acting and singing and stated, "I like helping them...to help girls who were kind of lost and needed help to find their way". He described the situation as a "360 management, development and production entity." He added that they sought out girls who were 18 who he thought were "virtuous, and honest and loyal". Feldman was asked about a contract shown in the Celebrity Wife Swap episode and he stated while it was not entirely real, "there are certain rules that we have. That's what they based that contract on." Feldman stated the point of the organization is to see "if we could get in and mold them while they're still young and impressionable, while they're moldable, so to speak, we can help them make the right choices." Feldman denied any allegations the company was degrading to women.[58][59]

Fourth revelation, possibly final: Skipped the drug abuse part of controversy cause tbh they ain't controversial especially for child actors. Plus could sure do with some right now. No, the section just after drugs is where the psychic damage lurks;

Friendship with Corey Haim

Feldman and fellow actor Corey Haim were close friends.[76][72] Feldman first met Haim at the age of 14 on the set of The Lost Boys, a film in which they both acted.[77] The two became known as "The Two Coreys".[72][77] The Two Coreys "became the hosts of a weekly underage party night for Hollywood Youth called Alphy's Soda Pop Club".[78]
Jesus fucking Christ there goes the flight or fight response as if I'd walked right into a real life Dead Space 2 bloodied nursery horror scene. It's the twee-est shit in the creepiest way. This should've ended careers, not innocent drugs. Will try to read on...

Fifth revelation: (after some unclear ping-ponging around Micheal Jackson's shenanigans) perhaps more an obvious inevitability from the 'corey's angels' uhh... thing? than revelation, but;

In June 2020, Feldman removed himself from the SAG-AFTRA Sexual Harassment Committee after SAG-AFTRA had issued a resolution to remove him from the committee following a number of sexual misconduct allegations that were made. Former members of Corey's Angels have come forward and accused Feldman of having "abused, sexually harassed and taken advantage of them". These women include: Jacqueline Von Rueden,[119] Poeina Suddarth, Margot Lane, Chantal Knippenburg, Amy Clark, Mara Moon, Jezebel Sweet, and Krystal Khali, who detailed information relating to Feldman's conduct with women.[120][121] The SAG-AFTRA national board resolution also stated that there had been "formal complaints to law enforcement, including the Los Angeles Police Department," against Feldman, and added that "investigations are currently ongoing into the allegations of sexual harassment".[122][123]
That's it. Is that it? Hang on, a scroll back up I spot an almost missed...

Sixth sixteenths of the sixtiest revelation: Jordan, we gotta talk man;

Feldman became friends with director Jordan Peele who called him, "one of the greatest teen icons of all time".[35] In 2023, Peele programmed screenings of Feldman's film The Birthday (2005) at Film at Lincoln Center. Peele described the film as "a WTF did I just watch experience" comparing it to Nope saying both films are about "exploitation and erasure".[36][37]
Can't see any stuff about COVID denial on there that was mentioned in music critic video however - coy edits perhaps?

And there is Corey Feldman. Boy what a journey. Hope you had fun. It ends here though, you ain't making me endure his music, those album names are exceedingly efficient at killing curiosity lol.

90s Brit adverts feel so alien now. Do dads usually pose like that when asking their son questions?

Hard mode for Americans will be accessed by merely turning off subtitles before watching. 👌

Super solid!

Hello and welcome! My name is Anton and in this video, we will talk about a creation (and the stirring) of the first ever exotic state known as supersolid - a weird quantum mechanical state that kind of makes no sense

We Americans saw that kind of pose a lot back in the '50s, when every sitcom dad was about to dispense folksy homespun wisdom to Junior.

(And I for one didn't have too much difficulty with the dialogue, though I've talked to a number of British people and watched loads of British YouTubers over the years.)

Sometimes you learn things that change the way you see the world entirely, things you can't come back from. Had no idea till now

Con-air is a real plane!

The Justice Prisoner and Alien Transportation System (JPATS), nicknamed "Con Air",[1] is a United States Marshals Service airline charged with the transportation of persons in legal custody between prisons, detention centers, courthouses, and other locations. It is the largest prison transport network in the world.[2] Though primarily used by the Federal Bureau of Prisons or U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement, JPATS also assists military and state law enforcement.
Next you'll be telling me Nicholas Cage is a real guy too.

Thanos is the older brother. And Robert Davi is one of the villains. That’s all I got.
Wow, The Goonies. Where else can you get Thanos, Sam Gamgee, Short Round, a Cory, Joey Pants, a Carradine, Cindy Lauper & Lou Albano, and a pirate dick joke... all in one movie.
The longest road tunnel in the world, as of last year, is Westconnex in Australia. Which is sorta disappointing, hoping it'd be something really cool going under a giant mountain or something.
Got a chance this year to drive through the... highest tunnel in the American highway system. The Eisenhower-Johnson tunnel in Colorado on I-70. At over 11,000 ft, it is impressive. Plus I was eastbound. So the approach and slope to 11,000 was pretty gradual. Then you come out of the tunnel and can coast at highway speeds downhill to Denver.

I knew penguins are good swimmers, but not 'swim an ocean' good.

"He tried to do like, a slide on his on his belly, thinking it was snow I guess, and just face-planted in the sand and stood up and shook all the sand off."
There's no footage of this, and that is a grievous crime

Continuing space mischief trend

There are cosmic events so powerful that they leave permanent marks on the fabric of the universe itself. Imagine two colossal black holes spiraling into each other, yes they send ripples in the fabric of spacetime—gravitational waves that we’ve only recently learned to sense. Ripples pass, leaving the pond … or the universe … unchanged when they’re gone. But ripples aren’t the only type of wave. There’s another type of wave that leaves a permanent mark—a memory etched in the fabric of the universe. They’re akin to gravitational tsunamis, and we’re on the verge of being able to detect them.

Some bs (bulb shit) -

@TubelabCom 6 days ago
I have dissected several dead LED bulbs to see what died. It is rarely the LED's themselves. There is an electronic circuit inside that regulates the amount of current flowing through the LED's. It uses several components, but there will be one or two "electrolytic capacitors." Good quality capacitors have lifetime vs operating temperature specs, and often the temperature for the specified lifetime is included on the outer heat shrink label. The common numbers are 85C and 105C. I have never seen a temp rating on the capacitors used inside an LED bulb, probably because they are poor quality. Every dead bulb that I opened had a dead capacitor, often dead enough to be leaking its electrolytic paste. Bulbs that are mounted upside down are worse case as the heat from the LED's rises to cook the circuit board. LED's do generate a little heat. The bulb here on my desk had 24 small LED's mounted on a thin circuit board that was attached to an aluminum heat spreader. It lived for almost 8 years in a ceiling can upside down before dying of dead capacitor syndrome.
