Greetings peons! I have descended from Mount Doom to bring you your weekly whimsy.

I have returned after a brief hiatus from my duties, refreshed and fully re-energised with villainy to bring you another casual thread for Wednesday to brighten up the dreary misery of the mid-week, and aid in the banishing of furious flame wars darkening the skies of Off-Topic Discussion.

I arrive with interest, to discover what brightens up your week and relieves some of the tedium of modern life, perhaps you have a favourite web show or comic series that brings joy to your ongoing slog of a working week?

Or mayhaps, like many of us you wait eagerly for this weeks manga chapters to be translated for your gluttonous consumption?

Perhaps this week there is something special occuring to bring happiness and contentment to your life?

For me weekly highlights include new One Piece chapters, The Jimquisition and The Big Picture, among other shows in other places such as The Final Bosman, or Reality Check.

As for particular events; on Friday the components necessary for my new gaming rig will finally arrive and be constructed, that I may waste my evenings playing games on unnecessarily high settings :D

So with that, I inquire; what is the ray of sunshine that brightens your otherwise cloudy days?

For me a thing that lightens my days of slumber and rageposting is a dinner break at work, during which i get 45 minutes to put on my headphones, grab some food and watch the new episodes of the great shows on the escapist. I am really looking forward to that time because ill be watching the videos.

Thats a pretty good way to kill your lunch break! I personally crack out the PS Vita and play some classic RPG's or great indie titles.

Been watching anime with my sis, we don't hang out all that much because she is mostly in England for college, but she is here for the summer and will be here for a few more days, so its fun to hang out.

I usually just relax and watch stuff or play a game or hang out here, sometimes I go out with a few friends, but a lot of them are working awkward times, so its hard to hang out often.
I know them feels of having shit schedules to match with others!

It's nice to hang out with friends but they're all busy all the time or have moved away or have cunts for boyfriends or whatever. League chats are always a good laugh though.

Well I go and watch all my weekly manga every month or two because I can't stand reading about 2 minutes worth of content then having to wait another week. That day is a good one. :D

Also my one mate and I chuck different anime to marathon every week or so. I throw him this:

He throws me this:

It's a good working relationship.

Another Final Bosman fan! That reminds me there is a new one today.

Since there are two game grumps everyday, I can't really say it's a weekly highlight, more like a daily one.

I like the Invisible Walls Podcast on Gametrailers on Fridays.

Way back in the day, Mondays/Tuesdays used to be Strong Bad emails, but considering the never ending hiatus Homestar has, those days are gone. :(

I guess Red vs. Blue on Mondays, even if the last two seasons have been a bit meh for me.I still watch it, but with a little less anxiousness.

New Csandreas videos every Thursday, can't miss those.

If PeanutButterGamer has something out, I'll be watching it for sure.

Zero Punctuation on Wednesdays, maybe Jimquisition on Mondays if I remember to watch it.

As for the real life stuff, just about every weekend I have something to look forward to, whether it involves my family or friends.

My mother patted my head while asking how I felt today, first time she physically touched me in twelve years. And considering how severly dysfuntional my family is and the issues I've gotten regarding physical contact since my teens... A pretty huge improvement I must say.

Felt kind of like when she used my correct name for the first time two months ago, weird but not bad. Even if she stopped using it as soon as family was present.

Every thursday we usually order or eat out somewhere. With no one really cooking in our house right now, it's nice to eat something other than microwavable meals and salads all the time. Even if it's just fast food, I typically enjoy the change every week. We also try to mix it up by one week eating fast food, and the next maybe getting something from the Italian restaurant down town.

Jimquisition is the highlight of your week?... Man, now I feel bad for you.

The highlights of my week are normally the times I get to play badminton. There's a nice balance of finesse and violence in the sport that I just find really appealing. The competitive factor is really enjoyable too.

The only highlight I get would be the new scanlations of the manga I follow, which are usually released between Wednesdays and Fridays. My weeks are pretty even and, while not boring, they're not exactly exciting either. Hopefully, it'll change soon.

The highlight of my week is when Podtoid comes out on Wednesday. It's crude, there's usually very little videogame discussion for the most part and it's hilarious. It also features Jim Sterling so take that how you will.

EDIT: Actually, now that I think about it Wednesday is kind of the best day of the week because there's Jim & Yahtzee's Rhymedown Spectacular, Zero Punctuation and Feed Dump along with the aforementioned Podtoid...yep my favorite day of the week.

The highlight of my week is sunday as it is currently the only day I have that I am guaranteed to do nothing the entire day. It's completely my day to do whatever the hell I want. Now other cool things do happen on all of the other days but I only really look forward to sunday.

My weeks don't really suck since all I do is work, sleep, eat, and watch anime, so already a easy week. But I must say Sunday holds a special place in my weekly routine. The reason... Highschool DxD New! episodes are released on Sunday nights so it's all I really look forward to all week. I'm really anxious for college to start, might get me out of this rut.

I got The Bureau: XCOM Declassified yesterday and after installing the latest Beta drivers from Nvidia, not only did I get decent performance for a game that hasn't been optimised properly yet but it's not as bad as the reviewers have been leading us to believe. Gonna play some more tonight.

My internet cap just reset.

I've downloaded 20 gigs worth of games I bought during the recent summer sale, (fro reference my data limit is 60 gigs).
