Basically i was watching the new Resident Evil film last night (which is AWESOME!!) and i was thinking.. What if a zombie outbreak happened?

I was thinking of this in a few ways :)

1. What would I do/go
2. Who would be responsible for it? (if there is someone)
3. Which director/film nailed that situation before it happened? E.g. Are the zombies Resident evil style? or Shawn of the Dead style?

I know this sounds random :p but thats the fun of it :D So what is your "What if IT happened?" situation? and who do you think before it happened nailed it?

Im going with the zombie one and im going to say i think zombies would be "28 days later" style, kinda crazy but over all fairly dumb :) I think it wouldnt be the government who is responsible, but some new natural virus thing and personally i would go to sea :) rob a nice big boat get lots of food and camp out there :D

So yeah, tell us your "What if IT happened" situation :)

EDIT: Sorry this wasnt meant to be a just Zombie thread, about other themes from movies as well and general themes :) i just used zombies as an example because i watched the film that night

Somehow, I managed to read the title as "What if I turned into a Terminator"...
Don't ask me how...
Anyway, seeing as they are the slow zombies, I think I could survive. I'd head for the local petro-chemical refinery, that is well defended, and quite close. And has its own docks for oil tankers/other vessels.

I hate to be the one to say this, but this topic has been done quite often. If I share my plans with you all then if zombies retain memories of life then I run the risk of compromising my escape plan.

Another one? Don't mean to burst your bubble, but please search the boards for a topic like this instead of making a new one. To paraphrase another user, "Zombie topics are like the zombies they talk about. There are tons of them." We don't need another unoriginal zombie end of the world topic.

EDIT: Damn, ninja'd.

I'd get bitten straight away. Who knows, being a zombie might be run. And if I get bitten first, I won't go through all that stress of having to survive. Being a survivor is overrated.

I'd go straight to the search bar. And in order to squash any and all thoughts and/or plans for a "zombie apocalypse"

The best thing about a zombie apocalypse is that there will be no more "zombie apocalypse" threads. At least you can hope anyway

Not much to be honest. But somehow I know I would become infected.
EDIT: Ninja'd with the Cracked article.

A zombie outbreak thread on the escapist!? (had to say it)

To stay on topic and not be a total git.

I think I'd be quite safe, all things considered. The buildings here (Malta) are all made of hard brick and stone so a zombie hand busting through the wooden walls is out the question. Many of the buildings are built uniformly (think Assassin's Creed) so it's very possible to run along the rooftops of neighbouring buildings to escape a possible break in.

We have enough blunt objects to repell any undead horde and a good majority of the Maltese are rather batshit when it comes to a good punch up. Give any random citizen a horde and tell him he can rip stuff off the walls and use them to beat them senseless and he WON'T get in trouble for it... you just answered the national dream!

I would wait for nature to take care of it.

There's a reason zombie movies start after everyone is infected, and not before and during when the infection spreads. Because getting there makes no damn sense.

No matter where I went, I'd eventually die. I'd be no good in situations like that. After I was inevitably attacked, someone would give me and gun and say, "you're going to take care of them, right Lyndsey?", and I'd give a firm nod despite both parties knowing my true fate, and I'd watch as they all continued on without me.

I have a plan for if I'm trapped at school (encyclopaedic knowledge of the school site DOES come in handy sometimes) but due to the lack of foresight on the builders of our house, I have no escape plan for there.

Grab food, try and find army.
