Bionics or whatever they're called. The kind of robotic limb substitute that Will Smith had in I Robot. That'd be freaking awesome.

The thing I want to do more than anything besides banging my home-room teacher, is sprinting down the street at 30 m/s, Alex Mercer style.

Something similar to this.

And you raise a good point about cybernetic limbs to help people walk.
However, these are likely to be terribly expensive, so only the well off get them, rather than the people truely in need.
We already have cybernetic limbs for amputees. check the book of Guiness World Records.

A Painless Suicide Machine.

Not that I intend to grow old.
There is a doctor in america who designed and built a painless suicide machine.
he just wants to help people. (everything is done legally, paper work, etc,), but he's very unpopular with certain groups of people.

OP: I'm not going to ask for something we already have.
'cos If we can dream it, we can build it.

Yea, like that, and umm... wars fought with robots like the ones in Supreme Commander, so we don't need to waste men to wars. And also humanity has developed FTL drives and spaceships and discovered other universes.

Well look at that. Almost exactly what I had in mind.
Thanks for sharing.
there's more than that besides.
as I said, if Humans can Dream it, They Can Build It.

Here's another interesting one though. whereas that one was for injured soldiers, this one is a general project.

and I haven't actually look for the ones in the Guiness Book Of World Records... but they are along the lines of the first vid.

TIme travel. So I can go back in time and tell my younger self to commit suicide before my life gets fucked up. Or at least avoid a few things...
