a lie is a bending of fact and reality; a warping of your view of reality while trying to twist others to your fallacious view.

however, if enough people come to believe in that lie, it may become the truth.

yes, i know, socrates would be proud.

The cake[small](I am sorry but you by saying to not say the cake I knew someone would so I wanted to be first).[/small]
I think vision is a lie, or at least not the whole truth, we see something as green but it may actually be like green ultraviolet part infra-red and slightly gamma. So vision is a lie.

Oh and tolerance is a big lie. A big fat ugly horrrible lie. Tolerance is such a bloody lie, noone is tolerant, we just are differing levels of intolerant. So you know what equality. Go die in a ditch!!!

Best Drink Ever!!!

1kg of sugar
100mL of water
Yeast
Lieberg condenser
Bunsen Burner

Method: Dissolve sugar in warm water. Add yeast. Leave warmed for 3 days. Filter out dead yeast cells. Heat using bunsen Burner through the lieberg condenser. Add condensed liquid to any drink in small quantities. Get drunk. (at least I am pretty sure that makes ethanol)

For this recipe, you will need.
1) An Orange.
2) A juicer.
3) A glass.

First, slice your orange into two halves, press both halves onto the juicer and pour what juice is collected into the glass.

Drink.

what is a lie? Baby don't hurt me! don't hurt me! No more....
This thread made me think of that. On topic. All conspiracy theories are lies by annoying attention seeking individuals. And saying anyone other than Brea Grant is the most attractive girl alive would be a lie too ;p

Bloody Mary

1 oz Smirnoff® No. 21 Vodka
3 oz tomato juice
2 red hot sauce
2 green hot sauce
1 dash Worcestershire sauce
0.5 oz lemon juice
1 pinch salt
1 pinch peppers
1 stalk celery

Add Smirnoff No.21 Vodka, tomato juice, red hot sauce, green hot sauce, worchester sauce, lemon juice, pinch of salt, pinch of pepper.
Pour back and forth between two mixing glasses.
Strain into an ice-filled highball glass.
Garnish with celery stalk.

Enjoy your night.

OT: Love in general, I don't believe the human race of all creatures could be capable of some eternal emotion that bonds you to a single person. A crock of in my opinion. If it was the case, then where else does it appear in nature? I understand some animals pair up and don't split till one dies, but that is because it mutually benefits both parties (Low numbers may mean an incredibly small chance of locating another partner each season). It's nothing more than a combination of lust, peer pressure and chemical factors (Also not without the fear of winding up alone, you know it's a safer finacial bet being with someone else in later life).

Hmmm...
A lie is a deliberate non-truth, with the exception of something said out of ignorance to a truth. For example, saying that you read a book you didn't read would be a lie; telling someone incorrect store hours out of forgetting or confusing the correct ones would not be.

A lie is a purposeful mistruth.
The cake was not a lie as it definitely existed, you merely had to be baked to receive it.

Alright, I just want to say everyone thought of saying 'the cake' prior to entering the thread. It's too easy.

The toothfairy, to be on topic. I've been searching for many years. I'm starting to doubt her existance.

There's way more lies around than most people think. But there's no 1 or 2 BIG lies like conspiracy theorists would have you think.

Obama being about change and hope when he is in fact a textbook Chicago politician and depresses me greatly with what is either his incredible ignorance of the world or his devious two faced malevolence. (I'm still not sure which it is.)
