Naw naw naw. You are thinking too big. Guy practically almost managed the whole think by stealth. Stealth is the key. After all, a full blown riot with the police would give our new Government a lot of `bad publicity`.thepj said:bluepilot said:Tradition is important. Mind you, if someone blew up parlament today, methinks there might be a week-long celebration
right then, that's my next plot, i'll get the propane bombs and a detenator, you get a massive barbeque and about 1000 shotguns, turret emplacements, rpg's and a few heli's, to fight off the police while we eat the burgers in celebration and organise the new govorning body with you, me, neonbob (cause he's awesome) and several other escapees that are of suficiant inteligence to warrent being part of the new british government
I don't blame you for your idea of why we celebrate the night, it was probably your "patriotic" teacher saying they celebrate it because the Government prevailed.EMFCRACKSHOT said:Why would we cheer for a traitor? We celebrate the fact his treasonous arse was killed. At least, this is what i was taught. And it gives us an excuse to set shit on fire, set off fireworks and buy fireworks to extract the gunpowder to make hand grenades just in case of invasion, revolution or zombies throughout the rest of the year
Amen brother. Its also my favourite holiday!Amnestic said:*twitch*YoUnG205 said:I know that Bonfire Night is for celebrating the death of guy folks but that was a long time ago and hes not that famous any more any way so why do we still have Bonfire night and do any other countries celebrate it?????
What do you mean "Not famous anymore."? With the advent of EFG, V for Vendetta and Anonymous adopting his mask as a symbol, he's more famous than ever before.
We celebrate it because we get to make big explosions and fires, as if we needed an excuse.
The fact that you know his name in relation to the night means that he is still famous.YoUnG205 said:I know that Bonfire Night is for celebrating the death of guy fawks but that was a long time ago and hes not that famous any more any way so why do we still have Bonfire night and do any other countries celebrate it?????

Guy managed to dig under the place and set explosives. Admittedly, the river is a lot higher now than it was back then. So, we will need some scuba diving equipment, underwater mining tools and underwater explosive. A nucleeu submarine has the fire power but I think the water of the Thames is a little to shallow for a nuclear submarine. Also, doing arms trade with the Russians is not good form or manners.
Since parliment is a British institution, we should blow it up the British way
This is why Bonfire night is important. It reminds us of the value of stealth attacks.
Wow, you win the medal of ignorance for this month.YoUnG205 said:I know that Bonfire Night is for celebrating the death of guy fawks but that was a long time ago and hes not that famous any more any way so why do we still have Bonfire night and do any other countries celebrate it?????
