;_; Poutine looks as horrible as Biscuits and white gravy.
What the hell are biscuits and white gravy? 'Cause it sounds lke it could be something disturbing.
It's exactly what it sounds like. You take a biscuit, generally cut it in two and cover it in white gravy. In general, you'll find the tradition dictates a buttermilk biscuit. As far as white gravy goes, that is a reference to a type of gravy that does not include meat in it's production. Instead, you make a rue, add it to cream and generally apply a thickening agent like cornstarch. Often, such a gravy includes additional ingredients - usually pepper and salt. White gravy is also commonly called cream gravy and is fairly bland. To counteract this, people often add sausage to the white gravy base. I'd wager that gravy with sausage is a more common way to present biscuits 'n gravy than the simpler white gravy.

No, actually (being British) Canadian Bacon is nothing more to me than bacon made in Canada.

TIMBITS!

That's all I got. I found a Tim Horton's in Michigan once and I was excited to find "Timbits", which are just doughnut holes. But that is the cutest name for a doughnut ever.
