What is in the basement?

So recently I came across a thread that was some new person trying to make a first post. Most of the replies were not to go in the basement! So my question to you fellow escapies...escapists, is what is in the basement? And why is it so terrible.

As for me: I'm pretty sure it's Cthulu and maybe a meth lab. Does that really need explaining why not to go down there? You might get addicted to the meth and then have to pay your life savings for some more.

Why did you make three of the same thread, I've seen double but triple is a bit much.

Also the basements too far away so that's why I don't go down there.
