What is intelligence?

Some would say its knowledge, others social awareness. So what do you think?

EDIT: I'm gonna try to put in my opinion. Okay, let's go.

Intelligence is knowing how to play a situation, whatever it may be, and make it turn out the way you want it to. Simple as that.

Intelligence is the ability to solve problems. Whether it is street- or book- based, as long as you can adapt to a problem, I'd consider it intelligence. If it's worthwhile though, that's a different story.

Knowledge - How much you know
Intelligence - Your ability to apply knowledge to a problem.

And additionally, the ability to compensate for any lack of knowledge and deal with the problem anyways.

"Information that remove's doubt in the decision makers mind." Well that's the definition of Intelligence in my Intel class which is based around information gathering.

This is almost what I think intelligence is. Sort of. Maybe a little. Maybe not so much, but I still agree with the idea somewhat, is what I'm getting at.

Well, of course, but I was merely stating the general idea of intelligence. Certainly there are other nuances to that stat.
