Well I am an American girl and I'm dating a British boy (Aka Azure-Supernova) and I happen to love his accent. It's just the way he says things, the way the words roll off his tongue and the way he says my name just gets me going. :3 His accent is by far my favourite accent I've ever heard. <3

Aussie accent is better
I knew you werent British! You lying buttmunch! Go back to the gun control thread and admit to everyone that you arent British, just a lying turd.
Hahahahaha, no. Speaking as an Australian, we don't idolize the stereotype accent. I can say that the broad Australian accent is quite possibly worse then southern drawl and on par with cockney. He could still be British.
I am not saying he is Australian... just not British. And this isnt the only proof (his complete lack of any response even though I quite clearly called him out on it is an added bonus and lack of action is as good as an admission of guilt.).
Hahaha quite probably. We'll get those darn pretend Brits.
I normally wouldnt give a monkeys but he is pretending to be British in a thread he created about British gun laws... despite not knowing of what he speaks.
Yes... He/She wasn't exactly flexible in thought when it came to politics and guns in that thread either. But who knows. Maybe JewZombie is from the Republic of Ireland! (would explain the gun thing)

As for OP
Personally i find that the 'cultivated' Australian accent is the best British accent. Think about that.

American girls find accents in general sexy. I think it has something to do with the knight on a white horse thing. Where do knights come from? Not America.

American's apparently go ape shi-I mean bananas over English, Aussie or Kiwi accents. They weridly love them I understand. I guess they're exotic enough to be sexy without being so exotic they wonder if you're going to kill everyone. Also it might just be because everything Australian rocks ;D

I get confused for Irish a lot by Americans actually. Annoys me to no end.
and why is that? is there a shame in being irish?

That being said Irish accents fare well on the continent

don't ask me how the irish accent is sexy I mean what are we The manly ones the brits the intelligent ones and the aussies the badasses or something?
Is that how it's defined?

(Scots : dwarfs Welsh:.. dunno I guess they go towards the irish accent but clean like the english one?)
Nothing wrong with being Irish, I love the accent, just annoys me when I have to correct them so much.

Britain is split up more, English are posh and sofisticated, Scots are drunks and insane, Welsh are... well... ummm... they have funny road signs?

I absolutely can't stand the english accent for the most part. Though i have to admit when spoken properly, it can be somewhat attactive. The normal scouse accent or cockney really just gets on my nerves, But take for example the accent of Colin Firth or Hugh Grant then the tables change. And Klaus from Vampire Diaries just makes a girl go weak at the knee's.

I live in New Zealand, but I have a semi-British accent. I regularly visit Canada and America and yes most people love it. Like someone said before, it's quite exotic and many people like the idea of confronting "the other", but not so exotic that it's scary since the British are still white and speak English.
