Off topic, but when are they going to be adding an alternate outfit for Magneto in Ultimate? I know that is the outfit they removed due to Spanish complaints, but the OCD part of me twitches at having every single other alternate costume than his.

I won't even mind paying for it, I just want to complete my collection.
Well, from what I've heard, Capcom have no plans on further supporting UMvC3.

So no more patches, which I assume would mean that there's no replacement costume for Swagneto either.

Well, you see "Swag" is part of certain kinds of curtains, as you can see...

I believe the bits that are actually the "swag" are the curls hanging from the top. Swag can also mean cool, fantastic, or epic, if you will. Although the second definition varies from place to place, it is usually a positive attribute, and can sometimes simply be a way to compliment something, without actually having a specific definition[footnote]This way of using it has gotten a bad name because of overuse by complete idiots, and it is probably unwise to use it in this manner unless you are in the company of said people.[/footnote]. So, you might say that curtains with "Swag" are very "Swag," if you like swag. And now you know.

Why are Spaniards unhappy with Magneto?

Not quite. See below:
Er...Swag IS slang for treasure or stolen goods, and is not related to the other definition of swag that comes from the shortened form of swagger.

L2slang.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Swagman
In Australia and the UK, maybe, but this is American slang. Over the years in the US the form of swag you're talking about mutated to mean "free crap you get at conventions," and the form of "swag" we're talking about in this thread has absolutely nothing to do with it. Not everything that has a relation to rappers also has a relation to prisons...

Shwag? You mean crappy pot low quality marijuana?
Nah, you're thinking too much about the word(s).

It simply means: shit.

Either definition/term works the same way. Swag/Shwag = shit.

Nothing good.

Crap.

Useless.

Garbage.

ect ect
Maybe. I get that that's how you meant it, and it's an acceptable use, but "shwag weed" came before shwag anything else, as far as I know, and before you used it and I looked it up on Urban Dictionary, I'd never heard of the second usage before. Which makes sense; it's the kind of word you'd just about have to be stoned to come up with and/or use.

Trust the Escapist forums to be filled with condescension, way to maintain that holier than thou attitude guys.

It means being awesome. If you have swag then you're awesome. Really, it isn't that difficult to work out, especially when the context makes it abundantly clear. You don't have to use it, I don't, but you don't have to be a dick about it.

I generally hear it used to describe free stuff you get at conventions. i.e. 'I got a free Diablo 3 T-shirt as swag at E3' or 'The swag at Blizzcon was awesome'.

couldn't have said it any better myself.

But, if it's spelled with "Shwag" or "schwag" it's referring to illegal drugs of bad quality.

here what I thought

swagger- the way you walk...you know..that bee gees song

swag- cool stuff, trasure
This is what I also go by, when someone says swag, I am expecting posters, button's, and other stuff you cant normally get unless you have been to some sort of convention, or pre-ordered something.

Stuff We All Get. Like free promotional t-shirts, hats, and messenger bags at various conventions, etc.

Oh, you mean swag like "swagger"?

I don't know, but I've been told that if you have to ask, you ain't got it.

Swag is loot, usually held in a large brown bag with a dollar sign on mainly found on cartoon thieves who are very obviously criminals.

Also I think this is relevant (spoilered for ponies).

I'm sorry I couldn't help it

Swag is like a misguided form of Class. The Classy man is Classy for Classy's sake, but the Swaggy man is Swaggy in order to get laid.
