What is the Best game Cinematic you have ever seen. Quality or just Awesome

Im Pretty sure the name says it all, what is your favorite game cinematic.

I am going to go for the opening scene in Lost Odyssey.

What are your favorites?

I only ever remember being amazed by the Final Fantasys (VII and IX), but I was young so can't remember if they are still awesome...

The first great in-game cinematic i seen was during FF8, thats on my list.
This may not count, but the start of Bioshock, when i submerged from the water, i thought it was still a cinematic because the game looked so good. It taken me a few seconds for me to click on and that it was actully me who had control of the camera.

The Halo Wars cutscenes were good, especially since they were top notch CGI. Say what you will about the game (I'll probably agree with you), but other games could learn how to do good cutscenes from it.

metal gear solid 3, when snake got shot in the eye when he was tied up to protect that one whore, that was pretty good

Any Dawn of War Game Cinematic Intro. They're all awesome.

Or the scene between you and Ryan in Bioshock.

I'll admit it: I loved the scene in the radio room in Gears 2.
Honestly, I played that level at least five times just to see that rant.

A more recent find is in Saints Row 2, during a funeral.
Johnny Gat was even cooler after seeing that scene.

The Tragedy of the Wohl Highlands.

It was so satisfying seeing Kaim Argonar open an entire crate of whoop-ass on the Gohtzan soldiers. Then to survive meteor fall...just so awesome. For me anyways.

Oh, that and the Kingdom Hearts ending.

Hmmmm, there's probably been a better one from the MGS games I've played but I can't really remember them so I'll go with the opening cinematic for Dawn of War, pure awesome.

The very first, original Dawn of War cinematic intro was just pure awesome.
Batman Arkham Aslyum has some fairly nifty ones too.

Nexus: The Jupiter Incident had quite a lot of great ones too, come to think of it.

I loved the opening cutscene to Dawn of War, it's simply fantastic. Most of the cutscenes in Kingdom Hearts II blow me away when I watch them, especially towards the end, as well.

All the cut scenes with Bahamut in IX are still way awesome.


I dunno I have this mysterious tendency to not play games with too many cut scenes, the Playstation FF trio being the exception and a long time ago. I really love the Warcraft (WoW and Otherwise) cut scenes, and the one from WC3 with Arthas casually strolling into Lorderon and killing King Menethil is still one of the most chilling.

The intros to Age of Empires I and II.
Don't talk about quality (hey, they're old), but they were awesome.
And of course all the cinematics in Warcraft III were superb.
