You can't see things that are more than 20 feet away (I know I'm quoting Yahtzee here). That's a giant flaw when you fight enemies with ranged attacks. Link to the Past had a few of those. The only advantage was seeing around walls.Top down perspective.. awkward?
Maybe if you're a little kid and didn't grow up on the things..
Oh yes, the wiimote seems intuitive... until you try to move. Movement itself is the wiimote's big giant flaw. The motion sensor is also a bit buggy, but it is for most so I can't really hold that against them since the technology, while impressive, isn't where we want it to be. Of course Zelda and indeed any game that has another console port will tend to suffer from this problem.Personally I think the wiimote controls of TP are pretty intuitive.. swing the remote in any direction, it swings the sword.. have a bow drawn? Point at the screen where you want to shoot and shoot, shield bash by thrusting the nunchuck forward.. the only somewhat awkward move is the spin attack which you do by shaking the nunchuck side to side a few times, sometimes it takes longer to register than others.
I grew up on console controllers with D pads, and joysticks, and I still find the Wiimote to be a better control input.
I have to agree, there's just something special about how Twilight Princess does the last boss, multiple phases, 1 classic reflect the beams back at the caster a la A Link to the Past and OoT, a fight you need your wolf form for, a mounted combat fight, and then a mano a mano sword fight between Link and Ganondorf, feels decisive and climatic to leap through the air and shove your sword in his chest, though I guess WW also had a 1v1 sword duel with Ganondorf (where you put your sword through his head)..KaZZaP said:You gotta give Majors Mask points for being original and different with the 3 day mechanic, but really Twilight Princess is the best one because it's the newest. Even tho it was the game basic formula and Ocarina of Time there we're parts in the game that we're the shit. Like when you have those jousts on the bridges. Twilight's final boss was the best yes too. Had all the stages you would expect from Gannon but ended with a bad ass sword duel.
... You move with the analog stick on the nunchuck, have you even played it?PeterDawson said:You can't see things that are more than 20 feet away (I know I'm quoting Yahtzee here). agreed...darkcow55 said:The sheer lack of Link to the Past mentions leads me to believe most of you are far too young to be on the internet without some kind of parental guidance.

Yeah, that's why I said it was awkward. With the controller design the stick is awkwardly positioned.Devildoc said:... Exactly. Kids now-a-days don't hear Zelda and think of the original, nor do they hear Mario brothers and think of the original. They think of Mario/Zelda 64. My favorite Zelda game is and was ALttP (The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past). Ocarina of Time is a close second tied with Twilight. Wind Waker can go die slowly in a ditch for all I care. WW was a great, spectacular game, though it is a piss-poor Zelda game. It sadens me to think that may have been the first Zelda game for so many others. They may never know where it all started... *Cries*darkcow55 said:The sheer lack of Link to the Past mentions leads me to believe most of you are far too young to be on the internet without some kind of parental guidance.
