Wind Waker is my favourite Zelda title. I really like its visual style and fairytale-like storyline. Sure it wasn't the most difficult game in the series, but it had some of the greatest moments in the series for me (fight with Ganon, retrieving the Master Sword from Hyrule and sneaking into the fortress).

Link to the Past, best one ever. All the other's are mostly just graphics upgrades.
See that's why Majora's Mask is my favorite, it was it's own game and it's own story. Plus it was just the shit. The dark setting, the variety, the need to get every mask, all of it. And factoring in with the setting, the fact that no matter what you did, you had to walk past someone in pain or trouble because you couldn't do it all in 3 days, awesome. You can save the world but you can't save everyone.

In all fairness though, I was not a fortunate enough child to own LttP on my SNES. I do regret that because the few times I was able to rent it, it was great. Can't weigh-in on it if I haven't beat it though.

I find all the OOT love weird. I know, it is a fantastic game, but Majora's Mask is miles ahead. Is it just because OOT came first? Breath-taking first 3D game and all? Probably. Anyway, my vote goes to Link's Awakening.

I absolutely love Majora's Mask; it was what Ocarina of Time should have been. It was brilliant for taking the great gameplay of OOT, improving the engine in just the right places, and then crafting an involved story and experience. Yes, it is like few other Zelda games and the time limit is a bit constricting, but, it is an absolute masterpiece. It's one of the few games where I actually am compelled to care for most of the characters not to mention it's one of the few Zelda games with a story beyond rescue the princess for the umpteenth time. Add to the fact that all of these advances are built with the solid foundation of an excellent game like OOT, so, I was blown away -- to say the least. I am already used to that fact that I am most certainly in the minority about this, however, unless someone starts gushing about the CD-I games, I am perfectly fine with that (since, I mean, who would want to be lumped into a minority near a size to them?).

Edit: I should have read the rest of the thread, I may be in the minority but I'm in good company here

I favor the gameboy ones the most, particularly, Link's Awakening DX. Which I just learned is often considered the best game ever (I just checked wikipedia to make sure I am saying the right game)

Having only played the original, Links Awakening, OOT, MM and Oracle of Seasons I would order them like this:

1) Ocarina of Time
2) Link's Awakening
T3) Oracle of Seasons/Legend of Zelda

Way down at 5) Majora's Mask. Words cannot describe how much I dislike this game.

Actually...
As far as fun/playtime ratio goes...
I like Wind Waker the most...

OoT has a special place reserved in my nostalgia vault however...

Majora's Mask,I know some people didn't like it but I found the way people interacted with your different alter-egos very interesting, plus playing as a goron kicked ass.

Although I still won't forgive it for unleashing the blight that was Tingle.

I quite liked OoT and Twilight Princess. Wind waker was good, but loses points for having to find the stupid triforce shards. Oracle of seasons was quite fun, but I only got up to the 3rd dungeon before the gameboy broke D: and I've only played majoras mask breifly on an emulator, which stopped working...
