What is the creepiest place on Earth?

My vote goes to Aokigahara Forest [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Aokigahara_Forest].

Its an incredibly thick forest at the base of Mt. Fuji that also happens to be Japan's favorite place to kill yourself. There are tons of bodies and nooses all over the place as well as signs trying to discourage potentially suicidal people. Officials have to do sweeps for corpses to at least try and keep things under control but the forest is so big and dark that they miss some. There are many unnoticed bodies just hanging around.

Actually they do have a lot of looters running around the forest stealing wallets and stuff.

I tend to think any place you're hopelessly isolated is creepy, like in an abandoned mine in the dark.

Also, due to my fear of open water, drifting down to the bottom of the deepest part of the ocean would be pretty creepy.

The ultimate creepy place is dark and "too quiet"

Hm ... I've spent a lot of time trying to think of places that would be new and interesting for cracked readers, for annoyingly little results. XD I need to expand my knowledge farms. How about my sisters bedroom, where so much has been spilt on the carpet it can be considered rotten food by now? No, not good enough? -.-

Well, despite doing some harcore googling, (I actually searched for more than 10 minutes! Admittedly, more than means 15 in this case, and it's half past 1 in the morning for some superb reason) I wasn't able to find what I really wanted to show off, an image gallery I saw several years ago (somewhere between 3-6, if you really want to know) that showcased a seemingly abandoned European town that had been covered, quiet literally, in maggots and moths. I can't remember most the details, but suffice to say close-up shots of trees revealed them to be filled with writhing bugs, the floor was a carpet of "Oh god I hope they're dead" worms and absolutely everything had been covered in some sort of silk that they were nesting within. I don't want to live on the same continent as those buggers. And I'm an Australian. =/
