Managing to fully complete stuntman on ps2 was the hardest thing I've done: it was the first ps2 game I ever had and the hardest!
And the fact I was about 11 increased the difficulty!

In God of War I made it past the spinning blade walls. Took me about 20 times but I finally managed it.

Besides not breaking the controller or game disk out of sheer frustration? the only moment I can think of at the moment is the end strider/hunter battle in Half Life 2:Episode 2. (stupid bombs and car didn't help the experience.)

I remember in Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas, there's this part where you have to fly some RC planes on a mission. The planes only have so much fuel and when they run out they crash and you fail the mission. Man, that was hard.
I was looking for one of these posts to jog my memory; this one did the trick. RAGE. I don't care if Zero was voiced by David Cross, no cinematic was worth those missions. None.

Mario Kart Double Dash All cup tour on Mirror Mode, really rough 45 min. If I were playing on DS, no doubt I would have failed or just beating Portal Prelude

I wouldn't call the Nintendo Gallery hard, just tedious unless you were going for Tingle's brother's statue and you didn't have a GBA/GCN link cable

Did you find Dom to be an absolute game breaker on insane? Man, I had so many game overs because of his stupid AI ass running out into the line of fire and having to go on a suicide mission to revive him.

Also the reavers/satt comm section in the final act was just horrific. It took me at least 20 tries to beat that.
You have no idea (well, okay you clearly do)! The worst situation was during the section where you have to clear the area for the rest of the COGs to land in the hollow. At that point, Dom seemed to an acquire an even more suicidal tendency than usual, heading right into the midst of the enemies, which always resulted in him crawling around shouting to be revived. At that point, being down to one man made it hard to deal with the locust.

It wasn't long before I was wacked with a mortar and had to start again, only for Dom to repeat his kamikaze run, over and over again!
I hear ya... that was infuriating to say the least. It's bad enough trying to fight the locust off on your own but the fact that he can actually bleed out and die meant you HAD to save the stupid asshole.

That mortar bit was one of the worst, however i found the toughest battle to be the one just after
finding Maria
, when the bloodmounts and therons attack you from both sides and in comes a grinder just to make it even harder...

I'm going to be slighty different and say the hardest thing I've done in a game was having to choose between Ashley and Kalenko in Mass Effect.

Edit; for the record, I went with Ashley.
Kalenko... I like your abbreviation :)

I never pick Ashley... I prefer to bone Liara and to chat to Kaidan, although it is fun to be really mean to Ashley and call her dead dad a zombie...

HL2:Ep2 - Defending from the strider siege
Thank goodness for quicksave :)
Not in the 360 version.
You can save any time you want in HL2 on the 360, it's very useful for some of the more irritating sections (like the toxic tunnel)
I know. But there's no Quicksave on the 360. So it breaks flow a tad.
