What is the hottest (literally!) console?

When I was little, I used to play my Dad's laptop a lot. However, when I used to fall asleep after a long bout of Tomb Raider, my thighs used to become uncomfortably hot, almost burning. Another time, I reached my hand around my PS3 when I was trying to get my MW2 box, and I nearly burned my hand when I touched the side of the console. I touched my friend's 360, but it only got very very loud, similar to my Dad's old 90's computers, but rarely hot. What do you think is the hottest console?

The PS3 does get a little toasty after a while, but didn't the old 360s actually malfunction do to the intense heat?

The battery pack of my GBA had my fingerprints on it. Simply because it overheated to the point of melting.

Other than that I've never really had any problems with steaming hot consoles. I think they mayb be cheating on me.

My PS3 never gets that hot, not even after 24 straugh hours of Fallout 3 or Oblivion. My old laptop however... well you could have cooked bacon on the battery pack!

Hmmm. I have a orignal, first-gen 80gb PS3, and it never, ever heats up. Even after 6 or so hours of online MW2... nothing. (o_O)

I would vote my PC, or even my iPod touch gets a little toasty after awhile...

It was the main cause of red rings. Some I heard even caught on fire. But now the newer models have fans inside of them to keep them cool. I would have to say though the PS3. I touched the side of my friends PS3 and I swear it almost melted my hand.

It's weird though, the front and back only gets slightly warm, but the side is like touching a nuclear reactor.

I know. It's like someone dipped the side in lava.

But hey, PS3, it only does everything /horrible pun

True, but every console has its faults. Xbox 360 gets hot, but it occasionally gets loud and the PS3 does gets VERY hot, but those don't really bother me. The only thing that bothered me was the Laptop's intense heat. It nearly made me sterile when I was 5.

My PS3 definitely runs hotter than my 360. Although if I didn't install 360 games it might be a bit different

I tried this once. It went surprisingly well, until it cooled down.
