In what era? Daggerfall was the largest at 700mb in 1996, after that it was Dragon Age: Origins with DLC's at 21 GB. But after that I went Xbox 360, next stop is 720 with 40 gb games woot. Sorry went to far

World of Warcraft, with 21.7gigs.
Dragon Age: Origins with all the dlc+awakening coming in second with 18.4 gigs.
Third place goes to Mass Effect 2 and 3 equally, with both taking 16.5 gigs a piece.

Batman: Arkham City GOTY-19 GB
Doesn't sound like a whole lot compared to some of these.

I went to copy Secret World onto my porto so that my friend would not have to download it all, and I think I nearly had a god damn heart attack when I found out the damn thing is 38GB.
Holy crap that's a lot of space! I'm considering this game now that there's no subscription, but I only have a 500 GB drive. Is it worth it, keeping in mind that I've never played an MMO before?

I have enjoyed playing it. It slows down a bit in some areas that you go to, but overall I rate it pretty highly. The setting, the monsters, and the amount of law in it is amazing.

:D But anyway, how would you say it measures up when it's free? I might give it a shot.

Team Fortress 2 at 10616 MB.

If you'd made this thread 2 days ago it would have been Grand Theft Auto 4.

Currently it's 7.56GB - Medieval 2: Total War. My entire Games folder is less than 30GB.

I have 15 or so games on Steam, none of which are downloaded as my computer sucks ass, and about 7 games on my HDD. WoW + TBC + WotLK, Oblivion + SI, Guild Wars 1, and The Sims 2 + EPs are some of the biggest games on my bookshelf for PC that aren't installed. My Xbox has BF3 on disk, which is approx. 20GB.

my custom modded Morrowind folder size is around 100 gigs, does that count?

Modded Crysis is right behind at 71 gigs. SO MANY TEXTURES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I don't even understand how that's possible. While the game had a fair number of mods, the era that community was super active resulted in relatively compact mods. Even the new stuff with high res everything doesn't even scratch that. Without going out of your way to get bloating files, even downloading and installing every mod simultaneously, a prospect that would rapidly result in an utterly unplayable game, I don't see how you'd break 40 gigs.

Hell, if you take the hundreds of mods I've installed in Fallout and New Vegas and Oblivion and Skyrim, total including base game assets they don't take 100 gigs.

So, I guess my question is - what the hell do you have installed?!

Probably Gmod if you include all of the extra stuff I have downloaded. I don't know the exact file size windows has only informed me that it is over 60gb.

Witcher 2: Extended Edition is about 30GB with all the extra features (I have the limited edition that comes with art and soundtrack and a bunch of high-res posters and such), but standalone it's probably RAGE, clocking in at 21GB.

Fuck. RAGE is so disappointing. Thanks for reminding me about how much RAGE disappoints me.

Lmao, how did I miss that. *Lore*

It is pretty good when it is free, you don't miss out on any content as far as I am aware, and (if I remember correctly) future huge content adds will just be like $5-10 each.
