What song or songs of music do you consider to be the most beautiful music you've ever heard? I'm not a big music guy, but I'm curious to know what else I haven't heard and what other people consider to be really touching music. Not necessarily your favorite music, but the kind that brings out the most emotion in you.

Two of my favorites are Billy Joel's Piano Man and Simon and Garfunkel's Sound of Silence.

-Mod edit: Please put your videos in Spoilers, don't be a bandwidth hog! :D

Yay, an excuse to spew out a song from a little known gothic/syphonic/whatever metal band

And an excuse to spew out a song from the most known reggae dude ever

The music I consider 'beautiful' would mostly be piano and orchestral music.

Your Hands Are Cold - Jean Yves Thibaudet
Dearly Beloved (ANY VERSION) - Kaoru Wada
Across the Stars - John Williams
Andare & Nuvole Bianche - Ludovico Einaudi

Just to name a few

I will post what I always post in these threads on any forum: Albinoni's Adagio in G-Minor.
There is something special with it.. It makes me feel all repressed emotions I have. It makes me cry, it makes me laugh, sometimes even furious. But it ALWAYS makes me calm, it clears my mind.

The most beautiful music isn't the music that you haven't heard before. It's the music that brings up the nostalgia. The closest I came to hearing an emotionally charged song was at the Nintendo presentation for Zelda at E3 2011.

I've posted I Do by Yoko Kanno and Ilaria Graziano so many times, I'm not going to in this instance. Instead, this: well performed, the intro is fucking awesome -

I got a few but I'm going to list two of them-
Yeah these two are quite random, one being compose of snippets of dialogue and add some beats and the other has a lyric that make no sense what so ever. However despite the randomness, the beats and the melody are qute mesmerising.

I don't believe in absolute favourite's in any sense, but here are some examples of some of the most beautiful pieces of music I've heard:

(No really, even if you're not a fan of screaming, at least give it the chance of listening all the way through)

Hmm, that's a bigger list than I intended, guess I'm a bit of a soft-arse. :3

I think, out of all the pieces of music I've heard, Bach's Air on the G String certainly fulfills this:

The ones that immediately pop to mind is Hotel California by The Eagles:
Diamonds on the Soles of her Shoes by Paul Simon:
And Kashmir by Led Zepplin:
Aren't my absolute favorite songs (though they are close), they are just the ones I consider the most beautiful.

I can't help it, I find this to be one of the most beautiful songs I've ever heard. Discretion is advised.

For this I don't need spoilers. Relaxing.

Also, this.

That's my top 3, I can't decide which one is the most beautiful.

-Mod edit: You still need spoilers, dun dun dun!

Anyway, tough question. I've heard a lot of beautiful music in my time. Here are 3 of my favourites:

Most Trip Hop songs are very beautiful.

This one in particular, if you don't get the chills from this song, there's something seriously wrong with you.

Or, this beautiful song by the one and only Muse, so incredible.

Bjork's new stuff is very beautiful, especially Moon.

Piano Sonata No. 14 in C♯ minor , that is Moonlight Sonata plus the rest of all the movements. Truly amazing stuff.
