What is the stupidest popup that was clearly a virus you ever seen?

The one that shows a random girl with a facebook esq messenger thing telling you that she wants to show you her underwear or have sex with you... The whole chat window seems to be a link too... So yeah, as one user I think as already stated... Anything offering free sex is a virus.

That anti-virus one.
When it came up i freaked out and clicked on it because it came up where i was clicking originally.
It still comes up occasionally, in which it won't let me exit so i have to restart the computer.

after some software tinkering I don,t get any pop-ups anymore. (don,t worry escapist I still get yours) I never read them.
also pop-ups saying I have a virus, I use Windows 7 in the default theme and it shows the popup styled in Windows 98/95.

The ones that say
"Congratulations, you are the 10,000,000th visitor, click here to claim your prize" which is clearly fake because it is completely the wrong format for the webpage.

or

"Enter this quiz and win a free Greencard into the US!" Erm, last time I checked, only the USGov can issues those...

or

"How to lose 10 stone in 2 weeks following one simple rule" No need to click that, I already know what its called; surgery.

Another time I find those hilarious is when it shows the "My Computer" explorer with a C drive named Hard Drive and one Disk Drive named D.
My Dad fell for one of those despite the computer having 2 storage drives (System and Storage), 2 disk drives and a mess of USB devices which always show up in the real My Computer.

As a Mac user, nearly all pop ups and shady banner ads are hilarious, because they all use Windows XP style frames, buttons etc. on them, claiming they're alert messages from my own computer.
To be fair, that's because most advertisement systems with rotating ads don't check the user's OS. Windows is more common than Mac, so they use that.

On-topic: I swear I've seen at least once an attempt at convincing me that an antivirus website I was on was actually a fake antivirus, and that their generically-named product was the real deal. Obviously, it's the other way around, but I wonder how many computer-illiterate grandmothers fell for that...

That one that's like "SEXY GIRLS NEAR YOU LOOKING TO FUCK!"
For one, I live nowhere near Manchester, and for two, I'm 16, I doubt I could sign up to your fake site.

I remember one where it actually got on my computer as spyware and blocked everything saying it was a virus, particularly suspicious stuff. I remember it saying my Add/Remove Programs thing was a virus, as was every web browser I have. Including Internet Explorer. Yes, the browser that came with the OS is a fucking virus. Should've known. *facepalm*

And it was trying to sell me some "virus protection software" or something. I don't remember exactly, I just remember it being stupid.

The one that I see the most is when they say "You are 1'000'000 person to have visited this site, click for a cool prize" I have never clicked on the popup, but I know someone who fell for it and had to take his computer to another friend of ours to try and get rid of the virus that was subsequently downloaded onto his computer. He got absolutely no sympathy from anyone.

Not sure if it's a virus, but I LOVE the ads for a dating site that says "Due to the large number of lonely females members, males join for free!"

How stupid do people have to be to click those?
