I find it funny how many people have a bone to pick with this generations games. The abundance of people saying Halo 3, GTA4, Assassin's Creed etc. is just amusing. It makes me question how long some of you have been playing video games. If GTA4 is the worst game you've ever played, then my god you haven't seen some of the smut put out there.

Shit, I absolutely HATE GTA4, Halo 3, Fable 2, and the new Prince of Persia. However, they're nowhere close to the worst games I've ever played. You want to know a really terrible game? Mega Man: Battle and Chase. It's mario kart style game with Mega Man characters. Can you even fathom that?

Eternal Ring on the PS2. My friend bought it after the box claimed it held 'immersive gameplay' and 'intuitive combat'. Game start, 10 minute cutsecene of a man moving veeeeeerrryyyyy sloooooowlyyyyy in his boat to a beach. then a dragon comes out of nowhere and eats him. Then the game dumps you on this shitty little island and leads you through a cave of 'terrifying' Generic Goblins and such, which are all defeated by three half'arsed stabbing motions. Then you get stuck cause the game presents you with a door that you can't open.

Pile 'o shit by any means of the word.

Obviously a lot of people like Halo, but for those who don't like it, it's an average game: not apocalyptically bad, just overrated. Sure it has deficiencies - all games do. But no amount of muddy storytelling, repetitive Flood levels and "bloom turned up too bright" could put it within ten miles of games like Big Rig Racing, ET, Shaq Fu, Superman 64, Bomberman: Act Zero, Ninjabread Man, Spider-Man 3 or any movie-licensed game ever created (except Goldeneye). And maybe you've never played any of those games or any of the thousand other irredeemably broken, pointless, frustrating, insulting or unplayable titles out there, but if you insist Halo 3 is the worst game you've ever encountered then I'm calling you a liar and a sheep.

And now comes the part where you write me off as a Halo fanboy or say "I'm entitled to my opinion" because I'm refusing to let you call one of the most popular and highly-rated games of all time the worst game ever.

Brilliant. Couldn't have put it nearly as well myself. On a side note, Spider-Man 2 was a movie licensed game that was not only good, it was excellent. Another thing I've noticed is that almost all of the complaints about Halo 3 seem to be aimed at the single player, which I would agree is fairly mediocre. However, the multiplayer is solid gold and I would have thought that a game only really needs one saving grace to avoid being crowned the worst game ever.

But worse game I've ever played? Probably Worms: Forts. Alternatively, Prince of Persia: 3D.

Final Fantasy X-2. The only sequel in the whole bloody franchise, and it should never have been made.
...Unless you count add-ons like Crisis Core and Dirge of Cerberus.

Also, anything based off of a movie.

And Halo. It's only fun on multiplayer. Campaign bores me to tears.

Ive heard tht ET for the amiga was the worst game ever but i havent played it. My worst game would be the Delta Force Series. Looked crap, played crap and i spent £30 on a bundle. Task force dagger was especially bad.

The Halo series, I was expecting something along the lines of a good game (e.g., HL2) but everything in Halo has been done before.

I love this game.

It's so horrible, but it sold more than 20,000 copies. I'm so glad that my friend has it.

Also, defender for the GC looked so promising. I don't know how I got myself to actually go and beat it.

It was terrible. I was only reminded of it by the poster above me.

To provide examples of how terrible it is, suffice to say that pressing the right trigger -A LITTLE BIT- was accelerate, and if you held it all the way it, it was "brake and strafe mode"
