Close typefaces of those are Handel Gothic or Sans.


As for Comic sans; it is a pretty funky font, but there are tons of worse typefaces out there. I'm not saying I would use it, but I think it has a bad rap because people recognize it. I wouldn't use Comic sans for the same reason I wouldn't use Helvetica, it is just overused and comes with baggage.

Actually, it isn't consistent within itself. The letters are fucked up. As I said, the typeface was designed with hand lettering as an inspiration; the hand lettering is at least consistent. This is why they don't hire people like you for design jobs.
Fair enough. Tell you what--I'll hire you when I want to have someone type up a menu, you hire me when you need to fix your electron microscopes, diffractometers, and similar electron and x ray based machines.
