This song is on near every movie trailer but I don't know what it is. Can anybody help?

I'm sure this topic has been done before but damned if I know how to search for it.

It's been used in Requiem for a Dream. The track itself is called Requiem For A Tower. I believe it's a variation on the song from Requiem for a Dream.

 

[Johnny Novgorod]

The track is called "Lux Aeterna" (as in "eternal light") and it was composed by Clint Mansell and performed by the Kronos Quartet for Darren Aronofsky's Requiem for a Dream (2000), where it plays as a leitmotiv. It's been used in a bunch of trailers ever since. Much to my distaste, I might add. I'm sick of it.
