I am honestly curious. I found this object in the hallway of my dorm last May when everyone was moving out and haven't found anyone that can tell me what it is.

So if anyone knows, could you mention it? The pictures are a bit blurry because I took them on my phone.

Beside the word Emerson, there is an outline of a black box, inside of it--there appears to be a treble clef.

The flat end unscrews and, as shown, takes a single AA battery.

It doesn't light up. It doesn't make noise. The only input it seems to have is on the clear rounded top.

Thanks to anyone who might know.

Emerson is a engineering and electrical company, but I couldn't tell you what that was.

So thats where I left that.
I kid, I kid.
I dont know what it is but CIA seems to be on the right track. The one end looks like a head phone jack, but I only have a picture of it.

Nah, I tried that. It doesn't make any sound and it doesn't light up.

I thought that as well but when I tried a head phone jack, it was too big.

I found it in the hallway in my dorm building at college, so I have no idea.
