Mostly Swedish, though the family has moved back and forth between Sweden and the US a couple of times in the last 100 years or so. If we go back another 500 years or so there are also some Walloon and Finnish traces in there.
My background is quite a mix, I have German and Swedish on my mother's side and on my dad's I have English, Scottish, I think a little bit of Irish, and some Cherokee from his grandmother.
American, I was born in America. That was kind of a let down, huh? Before people start claiming "that's not background," of course it is! People say "German" at times when Germany is a much younger nation than America, same with some other nations. It's rather easy, really.
I know I'm part Indian (Goan) on my momma's side.
My dad's side of the family is really mixed though. My pops looks white and I ended up taking after him as well. My last name is of Portuguese descent, so we assume that we look weird cuz we have Portuguese blood. My parents have a stronger bond to East Africa though cuz they were born there (dad - Kenya, mom - Tanzania).
Purely Finnish. That seems so boring when looking at everyones answers, but as far as I know (at least a few generations back) there has not been a single non-Finnish person in our family. Maybe I should fix that and marry a foreigner so that my kids wouldn't have to give boring answers in internet forum polls
Genetically, I think I'm the product of a sheaf of paper and some snow, one of which had dark hair, because I'm about as white as either of those.
If you go by those who're my official parents, then I'm Irish-English-Welsh in that order.
Norwegian/American. Though, my direct ancestors [small](parents/grandparents/great-grandparents and so on for as far back as I've read)[/small] down to myself were all born in Norway. The American side of my family just moved there at some point.
[sub]Technically that makes me completely Norwegian, but I have both passports.[/sub]
