Most of the CDs I have are actually soundtracks -- and the one soundtrack enduringly that I always go back to is .... Labyrinth.

You remind me of the babe - what babe - the babe with the power - what power - the power of voodoo - who do - you do - do what - remind me of the babe!

I don't want to be that annoying person who shoves obvious suggestions down people's throats, but if you like that you'll love Bowie's other stuff.

There are so many albums I love. But out of all of them, my favorite of all time is Fear of A Blank Planet by Porcupine Tree.

Possibly their most critically lauded album, it's merely six tracks long, but very much like Wish You Were Here by Pink Floyd, makes up for it in lengthy, progressive and incredibly thought out songwriting. The massive 17 minute centerpiece called Anesthetize is fucking grand, and one of the best prog songs I've ever heard.

Everything this album needs is here and is well structured and cohesive. It's incredibly engaging and the whole vision of a world overrun by tech drunk kiddies that go on meds, drugs and commit crime while suffering clinical boredom and sleep deprivation is somewhat ominous and unsettling, in an intriguing way.

I could name a few favorites, but I'll just go with the one album that has been my definitive favorite since the first time I heard it. This album is pure sonic beauty from beginning to end. Too bad their later albums didn't sound anything like this.

30 Seconds To Mars - 30 Seconds To Mars

I don't listen actual albums that much so I don't know many but for me it's either OK Computer by Radiohead or Them Crooked Vultures by Them Crooked Vultures. Them Crooked Vultures are just brilliant, I mean Dave Grohl (Foo Fighters) on the drums, Josh Homme (Queens of the Stone Age) lead guitar and vocals and last but not least John Paul Jones (Led fucking Zeppelin) on bass.

Here have some

and some more

Sgt Pepper for me followed closely by Revolver.
Also they have to be the mono versions. Paul McCartney said "If you haven't heard Sgt Pepper in mono you haven't heard Sgt Pepper". Mono was the version The Beatles worked closely on, they left stereo to the engineers

This song is fantastic.

(I don't know how to make the videos show in forum pages but I urge you to check this song out)

I can't say one, definitely not. Other people are listing so I'll do that.

Into Eternity - The Scattering of Ashes [http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2nTZrjYF84A] (The clean vocals on that album can take a while to get used to, but they grow on you like hell)
Into Eternity - Buried in Oblivion [http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YnISJvoCBbI] (Maybe the same with some songs on this album, but it's a different vocalist)
Scar Symmetry - Holographic Universe [http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mebSi4PDC34]
Scar Symmetry - Symmetric in Design [http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iF64lZVAysI]
Before the Dawn - Soundscape of Silence [http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YrrjiHGhkj8]
Dominia - Divine Revolution [http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7w2y5ldS70U] (The linked song has to be one of the greatest songs of all time. It is indeed a metal song, metal starts about 2 minutes in, but the intro is awesome too. So goddamn underrated it's unbelievable.)
Satariel - Hydra [http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u5P_idGhgkQ&feature=related] (The linked song doesn't really sound that much like the rest of the album, but it's a great song nonetheless.)

They're particular ones that come to mind.

Coheed and Cambria - In Keeping Secrets of Silent Earth 3
It's gotta be this one. I once dreamed an entire song off that album and it's been my favorite song ever since.

The albums that are my favorites of all time are Faith No More's Angel Dust, Album of the Year, and The Real Thing albums, Bush's Sixteen Stone album, The Offspring's SMASH album, and Tech N9ne's Sickology 101 album. Mainly because those are albums where I can listen to the entire album over and over again and not have to skip any songs.

Rumours by Fleetwood Mac.

I've never heard any other album with such a compelling story behind it. You can really hear the bizarre combination of love, anger, distrust and genius that gripped the band members at the time in every song. And what songs! Every one a fantastic piece. At the time of making the album John and Christine McVie's marriage had fallen apart (due mostly to John's alcohol abuse) and Christine had begun to sleep with the band's lighting manager. Lindsay Buckingham and Stevie Nicks had split up explosively and Mick Fleetwood had just found out his wife was having an affair with his best mate. How the record was completed I have no idea, but thank god it was!

I'll leave you with this:

I came here to say this.
I'm actually listening to Fleetwood Mac right now.
It's the only album I've never become bored of.

Origin of Symmetry, by Muse. The first 7 songs on that album are as close to perfection as you can get. It does get a bit weaker, but the songs are merely good-great, instead of the pure bliss from the first 7.

A Sense Of Purpose - In Flames
The songs in this album all flow nicely and each one is amazing in my books. Has a great mix of heavy songs with really good melodic elements too.
