I like Fairy Tail, One Piece, Beelzebub and such, although I mostly read the manga for those.

I love Durarara!! and I got Baccano on DVD and I am borrowing my sisters Gurren Lagann DVDs and she wants me to watch Steins Gate, I really want to watch them, but work (which is thankfully ending this week) and assignments (just have to keep on top of them) has kept me from watching them, I might start next week if I am lucky.
On the topic of One Piece, aren't you glad that the anime finally hit Punk Hazard? Fishman Island was good (Zoro slashing Hody down in a single blow and destroying the octopus guy in the blink of an eye being highlights, and I'm glad they showed off peoples new powers and gave Usopp and Chopper some badassery, shame Franky didn't get to be a badass again) and all but it really dragged it's heels in the middle. (A bit like Impel Down and to a lesser extent the Whitebeard War)
Yeah, Punk Hazard has been a fantastic arc so far! Have you read up to date?
I can't wait to see just how strong Doflamingo is! He is heading towards Punk Hazard!

I do like the how Chopper and Usopp got some bad-assery but it sucks that Usopp is still portrayed as a coward, he can be a little afraid (he isn't fearless like Luffy or Zoro) but having him flip out makes him look weak.

Franky really needs another good fight! He is fully capable, but all his battles are in robots.
Them borked spoilers in my inbox man!

I'd love to see how strong Doflamingo is, we know he's stronger than Moria, but Moria was mostly hot air and a devil fruit, I'd love to see how strong Crocodile is now, because he fought easily on par with Doflamingo in the battle at Marineford. But I am trying to stick to watching One Piece and not reading miles ahead. Though I do read the wiki out of boredom so I have a vague idea of what goes on on Punk Hazard. I know it has Smoker and Law.

Yeah with Usopp I hope they don't keep him as too much of a wuss, since he's now actually very strong, likely as strong as Luffy was pre-timeskip and a very capable fighter. I really enjoyed him in Fishman Island, where he said something along the lines of "I'm a terrible liar now, I used to be great at boasting but now I can really do all of this".

I'd love a really serious Franky fight, when Franky was introduced he was hinted at being in Luffy's league of strength but he's become a bit of a joke now, though I really do like Franky and find him funny, I love when he gets to be a badass, as I said before when he fights Fukurou is one of my favourite fights in the entire series (when he fights Spider Monkey is good too, a good blend of comedy and badassery!). Though when he was fighting on Fishman Island most of his attacks from the robot involved him opening the hatch and attacking himself.

I think Zoro is likely a bit more badass than Luffy now, the whole Fishman Island arc had him so far outclassing everybody who fought him it was unreal, but with all the energy steroids Hody was chomping on it's hard to get a measure of the gap in power between Luffy and Zoro, though I've always said that the gap between them isn't as vast as everyone claims.

They fought on par in Whisky Peaks way back at the start of the Grand Line and Zoro defeated Hody in a single blow even after energy steroids but before the massive overdose. Zoro also took a hell of a beating during the Thriller Bark arc, taking several head on blows from Oars before fighting Kuma in the aftermath and offering his own head in Luffy's place and taking in all the pain and suffering Luffy had been through, on top of his own, and is left still standing afterwards, albeit in very poor condition.

That said Luffy fought Magellan and lived, and Magellan nearly killed Blackbeards entire crew in the blink of an eye were it not for Shilliew...
Sorry about that!
Luffy lost 10 years of his life span after being healed by Ivankov after fight Magellan, which is sad considering Ace was move to Marineford before he could get to him!

People overestimate how strong Mihawk is to be honest, he has the title of "Worlds Greatest Swordsman" but he fought on par with Vista during the Whitebeard war, you could say Mihawk wasn't fighting at full strength, but you coul say the same for Vista (but he may have improved over the time-skip) He did train Zoro up well.

I also want to see more serious fights with Sanji, his Diable Jambe is bad-ass and I want to see more!

I also wonder how the marines are, you know how...
Aokiji resigned and Akainu is now Fleet Admiral? And how Luffy pissed off Big Mom?
Honestly, I also hope to see Kaido, the person who killed Moria's original crew! Oh, and apparently Moria escaped from Doflamingo and the Pacifistas and is hiding in the New World!
Also, you should join this [http://www.escapistmagazine.com/groups/view/One-Piece-Fans] group! We can talk about One Piece there!

It is quite sad but the life span of humans in One Piece is something around 150 years anyway I think, or something crazy like that though I for the life of me can't recall where that came up but I'm sure it did.

It's probable that Mihawk was holding back, since he barely seemed to break a sweat during the Whitebeard War and showed absolutely no fear of even Whitebeard himself, but I do think that people overestimate his prowess and I think that to count as a swordsman you must need to call yourself one of something, because Shanks fights with a sword and I refuse to believe that Mihawk is stronger than Shanks.

I've seen the end of Fishman Island and that does interest me, I'm curious as to where Aokiji will end up and when we'll see somebody fight Akainu, though it was shown that Whitebeard still fears Akainu (who, let's face, it isn't THAT strong, Shanks can stop him single handedly with no effort and Garp or Sengoku are likely many times more powerful), but a lot could have changed in the timeskip.

Ah yeah it was hinted that Moria was still around, which is good because I do like Moria as a villain, especially as he's got a good backstory and is kind of a tragic figure in a weird way.

I'll tell you what I think people overestimate: Coby. Yes, Coby has gotten stronger over the timeskip, but he will not be anywhere near Luffy's level, he will not be to Luffy what Garp was to Gol D. Roger, it's not gonna happen, that role is already filled by the astounding awesomeness of Smoker.

Now Smoker, he's a badass. Fuck Coby and Helmeppo, they're both forever damned to be owned by Luffy and Zoro.

I may read the manga or watch Hellsing Ultimate, but that thing I watched left a nasty taste...
As it did to me as well. I didn't think the manga could be any better, I was wrong.
Onto my giant backlog of entertainment pile it goes then :p along with 50 games on Steam, a good 8 PS3 titles, 4 or 5 DS and 3DS games, a few movies, giving Bleach another go, and finishing off Ada's shitty campaign on Resi 6.

I haven't seen anime in a while so my decision could be a bit out dated.

To this day, my favorite anime is Eureka seveN. I like the art style, the complicated plot, the characters are all fun and get a decent amount of characterization and screen time, the action is plentiful, and the gore and WTF moments are sprinkled around in decent points of the story.

I'd say Bleach is a close second, only because there are too many filler arcs and they are hit and miss.

Cowboy Bebop, without a doubt.

The music, the aesthetic, the characters, the story - there was nothing about this series I didn't/don't love.

Samurai Champloo was another one I enjoyed, for pretty much the same reasoning.

Have always had a soft spot for Vampire Hunter D and Project Ako, thanks to them being the first anime exposure I had - Scifi channel Saturday mornings, hells yeah.

My personal favorite is called mushi-shi. Though it might not be what you're looking for.

It's set in a version of edo era Japan that's full of these creatures called mushi. Mushi are hard to explain. The show describes them as being the essence of life itself. So basic that most people can't even see them.
The show itself is about a bloke called Ginko, who travels around, studying mushi, and helping people whose lives have been affected by them.
Every episode is self contained. There's no overarching story that holds them all together. You could literally watch the episodes in any order you feel like, and only occasionally miss a tiny reference to an earlier episode.
What I love about this show is its atmosphere. Every single episode draws you into whatever situation Ginko has found himself in, makes you interested in the people he meets, and the mushi he encounters, and gives you much to think about once it's ended.
And not every episode has a happy ending. There are quite a few bittersweet, and even complete downer endings. But you always leave satisfied. With a new outlook on life.

That's just what I think.

We can talk in the usergroup later!
Coby has gotten stronger, but he is only a captain I think and Helmeppo is lower than that, I think that Coby is much more competent than he was before, but he will not catch up to Luffy!

Shanks and Mihawk used to fight a lot before, hinting that they are on the same level at least, but we don't know how much this has changed, he seemed to want to high tail it out of Marineford after seeing Shanks show up!

The Yonko, Marine Admirals, Shichibukai and Supernovas are the strongest forces in the world, I hope the supernovas will come into the story more, they were cool as hell! I also want to see more of the Revolutionaries and Dragon, just how strong is he to have become the most wanted man in the world! I am not sure if this was in the anime, but Buggy recieved a letter after Marineford, but it never said what it was, I think it was an invitation to become a Shichibukai because although Buggy is weak, his crew of escaped inmates is powerful and the marines overestimated his powers in the war (Buggy is a comedic character, so it would be funny for him to be in such a position)

Also, not a spoiler, but have you seen the picture of the supernovas after the timeskip?

Does that not kick-ass? Oda drew it for a curious fan! He forgot Zoro though!
Yeah, but it's also possible that Mihawk just didn't want to fight with Shanks because they seem to at least tolerate each other and haven't been shown to be enemies really, rivals at one point but never enemies. I think when Shanks showed up everyone wanted to get the fuck away!

Indeed, thought the supernovas are far from an organised thing, though a few of them have been forging an allegiance in the new world if I'm not mistaken, I think it was Eustass Kid, Scratmen Apoo and Basil Hawkins. I'm not sure quite where he'd fit in the Royal Shichibukai though, because the only empty slot was Moria's to my recollection and that was filled by Law, although that said Jinbei did quit (now Jinbei is a fucking badass) so it's possible and it would be an amusing turn of events. Buggy is likely to have gotten tougher if thats the case, and his weakness is a touch exaggerated but he's definately more lucky than strong. With some training in Haki and his devil fruit he could potential get rather strong indeed though.

Buggy is one of my favourite characters though, I love little buggys big adventure!

I have seen that picture and it's pretty damn awesome. Zoro needs a new bounty though!

Or Skype seeing as I have that now! An that's on my phone @_@ so my pc can recover.

My favorite anime would be a tie between Evangelion, and Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann.

Both shows are incredible, and offer tons of WHAT THE FUCK moments.

Also, both are made by Gainax, the best anime maker ever, except possibly studio Ghibli, but that's film.

ALSO....... dat soundtrack

Of the less than 10 anime series I've watched, The Vision of Escaflowne I liked most. It's great, despite somewhat running out of steam towards the end.
That was a very fun show.

There's few anime that feel truly adventurous, and even less where the protagonist is a girl.

It had a big, fat non-ending though. And I heard the movie didn't conclude much either.
I think I'm in the minority because I don't think there's anything wrong with Escaflowne's ending. Sure it's a little sudden, but it's not hard to fill in some gaps by yourself like Hitomi saying goodbye to all the characters or spending some time on Gaea after the war. I even thought up a little epilogue for myself, just to give a sense of closure. There actually are slightly different endings to VoE on YouTube, they were part of an Escaflowne-based video game. In one of them all the main characters come to Folken's grave to say goodbye to Hitomi, which IMO was the most satisfying ending.

I really with they'd give that series a remake, Rebuild Evangelion-style, or just make the series like it was originally meant to be: 36 episodes in length. That alone would take it to entire new galaxies of awesomeness.

Akira, then Ghost in the Shell & Macross/Robotech/Etc

My heart also has a special place for good old G-Force, which I used to watch on Cartoon Network before I even knew the difference of anime and western animation, haven`t seen the NEW G-Force yet, so..

All time favorite is still Cowboy Bebop. If it wasn't for the original Twilight Zone, I would be my favorite TV show of all time. It's one of the few examples of anime that just oozes coolness.

Look at it ooze.

And now I have cowboy bebop on my shoe.

Hmm then I think it all makes sense now, if he's supposed to be a parody and a social commentary then it's very clever, but if not then blargh. I've not seen Afro Samurai nor am I big on street fighter, but can it be drawn as parallel to that **** Jinpachi at the end of Tekken 5's story mode? Giant invulnerable 50 hit combo spamming fireball spewing meteor summoning prick that he was.

Hmmm, weird, One Piece isn't like that for me yet, most of it makes sense thus far though some things are yet to be expanded upon, like "just how strong is Dragon?". (...)

Edit: It's nowhere near the mess of convenient plot holes and magic macguffins that is the current state of Naruto. I say Naruto ends by the 1st Hokages DNA magically being able to spawn fucking Cthulu and end the world (oh wait...).
Yes, Naruto pretty much pulled the very same shit. In the beginning, I was amazed and enamoured with all those brilliant characters and the heavy dose of odd, and before I wrapped my head around the whole thing, it got well weird and not so sexy any more. Naruto, eventually, became the bastard child of Fist of the North Star and Pokemon, in a way. A bad way.

And yes, Jinpachi with his array of unblockable attacks and that surprise fiery front fart fits the bill just as the whole Tekken lore does.

When a good thing goes on for too long and too many people become involved, everything becomes George Lucas' ever changing Star Wars.

What's with the scourge of anime threads recently? There seems to be a new one every day!

OT: Probably the original Digimon series. It is the only anime that I've decided to re-watch several times.
