Mutts are always the best, especially you get one as a little puppy cause then you're not sure what its gonna wind up looking like. Well, as long as its not one of those small little yappy dogs, no thank you.

Huskies, they are adorable and they remind me of wolves.

Irish Wolfhound. The bigger the dog, the better. That being said I love wolves ;.; Seeing how I'm not allowed to own wolves, freaking Australian government worried about maulings, if a child gets eaten it's their problem .... but as I was saying ... given that option is out and if I had a large enough place I'd get an Irish Wolfhound.

...Or an Alaskan Malamute.

Well, I have a special place in my heart for Labradors, thanks to my first dog. In a pinch, I'd probably go with labs.

the breed I own (get ready) Cavalier King Charles Spaniel. They are really cute if a bit dumb, cuddly, they fit in your lap comfortably and are really good around people especially children and other pets and animals.

Leonbergers! I really really want one. Also St Bernards are pretty awesome too. Aswell as Huskies. Pretty much all big dogs. The small ones are nice but annoyingly yappy and get under your feet >.>
