Elder Scrolls Oblivion.

1k Hours total playtime on 4 characters. ENOUGH SAID.

Probably GTA San Andreas, it had a lot of variety in its missions and I found the story interesting and it felt like CJ actually had a reason to continue doing the, not like Niko from GTA 4 where he has no real reason to d ohalf the things he does in the missions. Also SA had a variety of landscapes and vehicles, also there were a huge number of cheats for extra pratting about value.

My favourite game when I was young was Theme Park World, I wasnt very good but I liked the satisfaction of earning money and watching my park grow.

I can't do a favourite, I have a few that cover different areas.
Assassin's creed 2, for the conspiracy with famous people involved throughout history, and the visuals and educational aspects
Wind Waker, because it's soothing and has an original art style;
Spyro 2 and 3, maybe for nostalgia, but I played both (up to the boxing yeti anyway) and still thoroughly enjoyed them;
Ratchet ad Clank 2,3 and gladiator,
and Portal 2; because the Co-Op is amazing.
Mass effect might join for immersion, though I need to play DA:O and ME2 first.

The best game, for me, is Arcanum: Of Steamworks and Magick Obscura. It is perhaps the most open-ended game ever. The world really responds to everything you do. Everything.
That or Planescape: Torment. Torment is not as open but is still just awesome.
Yes, I've had a hard time picking between the two. Planescape: Torment is incredibly good, but I fear Arcanum is more open, and I really like open-ended games.

Morrowind. Just no contest to it, the world, the quests, the lore, the books, the music, everything about it is beyond awesome. For when it released, it was indeed as close as I've seen a game possibly come to perfection. Naturally, it's aged with time and nowadays I'd rather play Oblivion for a number of reasons, but in it's time, it was the most amazing experience I've had with a game.

It's a tie between Lego Racers for the PC and Yu-Gi-Oh: The Falsebound Kingdom for the Gamecube.

For the most recent I'd have to say Bayonetta or Devil May Cry (seeing as they're pretty much made by the same people).

For the more classic, I'd go for Silent Hill 2, The original Afterburner or Castlevania:Symphony Of The Night.

Also: YAY! 1000 posts!

Assassin Creed 2. Its not the best game i've played, that would be Half-Life 2, but its still my favourite game of all time for some reason

Microsoft and Terratools' Urban Assault, a remarkably forward thinking game sandwiching fps + rts together into one clunky yet delicious strawberry jam and cheese and onion crisp(chip) sandwich)

such a shame no one bought it i love that game

Deus Ex. Always and forever.

If Stalker had had a better story, it might have trumped it.
