I like dogs, so Arcanine is my favorite.

I also like Rapidash. I just like those two fire-types above all else.

If we lived in the Pokemon universe, I would own a ranch and ride my prize Rapidash with my Arcanine walking in tow.

salamance or jolteon prolly jolteon is pretty awesome however oldschool id just have 6 lvl 100 dragonites just because theyd all have fireblast blizzard and thunder then one would have fly one would have something dragon etc so theyd all be supereffective against something diff but would all be supereffective against the basics plus thered be very little super effective against them.

Hmmm... I'm not sure, so here's a few:

Ampharos, Lapras, Jolteon, Umbreon, Sandslash, Alakazam, Marril

Alakhazam. He was the most badass, and the most useful pokemon before they nerfed him in the sequels to red and blue.

Eh? If you trade a kadabra in Gold or Silver it evolves into Alakazam. If you have a trusted friend (or both games and two gameboys) then you can trade it back and voila, you have alakazam, almost as soon as you get kadabra.
