Came here for Zero Punctuation, stayed because posting on the forums is kind of like Russian Roulette. Posting is pulling the trigger, and arbitrary probations/suspensions/bans are the bullets.

Initially Zero Punctuation, and then Unskippable, and now, due to it being accessible from work, the forums, comics and collumns! I am unable to get or play Skyrim/Arkham City/Rage/Deus Ex/MGS3d and the HD collecton, and all the other games I was looking forward too! I am keeping my interest through this site, as most others are banned, and I like to use forums to see what people think of the games on a personal level!

I mainly visit The Escapist to read the news articles, watch their web series/read the comics, and interact with other people on the forum/user groups.

Eh, I hop on once a week for ZP & XP, then some of the comics, sometimes see an interesting topic title on the sidebar... or that i have a quote-reply flagged on my account... from there i click a few articles at the bottom of a thread... eventually run out of steam and do something else for the next 6.95 days.

My personal reason is that while I watched Zero Punctuation from the beginning, I didn't join for years because of apathy. Yesterday though, I saw a topic I wanted to respond to, and so I joined to respond to it. I'm staying because now I'm curios about how the whole "Forum" thing will go.

This is almost exactly the same as how I started, except that I've been watching LRR from the beginning (even way back in the pre-Escapist days), and I only got into ZP afterwards.

I don't really know.

It's kind of just here, and it's the first forum I ever really found. The mods are strict and the people are generally intelligent which means there isn't gonna be much trolling that survives long. People like to give me the illusion that I'm actually making a compelling argument which is a bonus.

Also (I joined really long ago but my other account got corrupted or something and I cannot for the life of me remember the email address I put it on) it's really helped my grammar skills. I came here being the guy who used txt speek. Through you guys (I wuv u all), I ended up realizing that I'm a decent writer when it comes to winging it.

Got me through High School.

Im no grammar natzi...in fact I often get called out for my terrible spelling

but god..."txt speak" *shudder* there is only one place its acceptible...and even then, seriously theres nothing I hate more than people usuing txt speak when it isnt needed, it automaticlaly puts you in the "retard" box (not you now..obviously)
