Ok so, one of my new favorite games is demon's souls. It challenging, interesting, and just an all around good time. Theres only two things that mess it up. My first problem is the lack of people playing, I really enjoy the multiplayer system, i just need to wait awhile to find someone to summon(or to be summoned). My other problem lies with the black(red?) phantoms. Every single time i return to my body, someone invades my world and dominates me, sometimes its fun, but when i get killed with a single hit and sent back to soul form after four hours of trying to get back to my body, i want to explode. And on top of the lost time, you lose all of your money.

Do you have anything that hinders your experience with a good game? Im exited to hear about it, lol.

P.s. if anyone wants to play, message my psn profile. its twiztiddarkness6

Pokémon, while not necessarily my favourite game, is still one I become routinely obsessed with.

The fact that IVs* exist (yet are, along with EVs**, completely invisible) really makes online battling scene very difficult for a newer player to get into, because even with proper EV training Pokémon with bad IVs won't even be able to get a hit in on perfect mons. This means that either hours (and I mean HOURS) of careful breeding, or outright cheating with an Action Replay are required to get anywhere online. It's a shame because without IVs, it'd be much easier for people to just get in there and let their strategies decide who wins, instead of the numbers.

While some argue that getting rid of IVs will eliminate the need for breeding, there are still egg moves.

*IVs - Individual Values, are hidden stats all Pokémon have that determine how high a pokémon's individual stats can get in one certain area. For instance, at level 100, a Pokémon with 31 IVs (the maximum) in attack will have 20 more stat points than a Pokémon with 11 IVs in attack (assuming EV spread is the same)

*EVs - Effort Values, again a hidden stat, with 255 being the highest in one skill and 510 being the most any pokémon can have, 4 EVs in any area (attack etc) = 1 stat point at level 100. You train EVs by having your mons fight enemies that are strong in the stat you want to train (Magikarp awards 1 speed EV, for example)

The thing that stopped me from loving Mother 3, even with the English patch, was that the battles were actually pretty hard. It took me about five attempts to beat that giant snake at the end of Chapter 2, and the furthest I ever got was the Scary Womanizing Pigmask. Ah, well.

Dragon age 2: cant equip my companions armor.
Half life 2: Gordon Freedman wears glasses. Glasses are lame.
morrowind: combat is pants
Halo reach: There is no alpha zombie on the multiplayer.

My only issues with Half-Life 2 would have to be the human rebel allies. Not talking about the ones that can actually take care of themselves, like Alyx or Barney, but the nameless jackasses that stand in front of you in cramped hallways and routinely make suicide dashes straight into sniper fire. That little escort mission thing at the end of Episode 1 was also just about the worst thing HL2 has ever made me do. Episode 2 is pretty much perfect in every way, though, because they more or less decided to ditch the whole squad concept and just had me fighting alongside Alyx most of the time, which is fine with me because Alyx is awesome :)

Mass Effect 2, you hold a grenade/missile/nuke launcher they same way you would a shotgun/assault rifle. It just Reeeallly bugs me

The combat in Jade Empire could use a little fine tuning, even without using cheap tactics it's pretty damn easy. It's also way to short. It's weird, Bioware's other games can reach upwards of 20 hours, and yet I can do every sidequest and beat Jade Empire in 9.

Mass Effect 2 where the story just wasn't as good as that of Mass Effect 1. Also Jacob. You'd think with all the money in the bioware vault they could've afforded a better voice actor for Jacob.

Probably the secret boss in Tales of Symphonia who, on mania difficulty, genuinely wanted to make me tear my controller in half in frustration. Also some full cut-scenes get voice acting some don't.

Red Dead Redemption: Not enough people played online at some points (the online was AMAZING!), and the story ended. That story...just...why end? It was so brilliant!

Saints Row 2 could use alot less racing missions, and the respect system is kind of simple.

baldurs gate 2 could not be 10 years old....other than superficial problems brought on from its severe graphical limitations compared to today, like hardly any appearance customization... its pretty perfect.

and a note to bioware: enemies exploding into blood all the time made sense when they were tiny little sprites; not so much in DA2.

Morrowind's combat system.
Deus Ex's awful weapon damage and accuracy in the first level... well... it's not that bad... nvm, Deus Ex is perfect.

Persona 3:The AI will sometimes go a little stupid and Tarturus can get somewhat tedious near the end.

Perosna 4: The knockdown system was annoying in the fact that some enemies couldn't be dizzied and you no longer had to hit every target's weakness to get a 1 more time.

THIS!

Bayonetta - missable verses forcing you to backtrack
System Shock 1 - outdated graphics
Shin Megami Tensei Lucifer's Call (and by extension every other Atlus game) - playing these games feels like an abusive relationship
Mirror's Edge (also Dragon Age 1) - the combat
