Comics, some times the occasional happy pill when I REALLY need it, because I dislike the idea of pills. Then there is my dear sweet Postal 2 game. It seems like a bad thing to play, but its a great stress reliever.

Listen to music, watch movies. Play games. Go for runs. And my trusty punching bag for all my anger issues.

Cigarettes, whenever i think i'd rather take a flying leap off the face of the earth i go get a pack. There is nothing more relaxing then sitting outside in the middle of the night with a cigarette and a show playing on my laptop. Sadly cancer kills so i don't smoke enough to get me as calm as i want to be.

I write some poetry. I'm also trying to write a novel in my spare time, but it's kinda shit :p

Also interacting with other human beings helps.

This notion that I'm sane is kind of cute.

I'm getting there. What's keeping me anywhere near close to sane at the moment is the knowledge that I'm closer to being sane. Sounds circular, but after the years of depression (and months of life-stopping severity of said depression), the fact that I know I'm getting better helps me get better more quickly.

So what keeps me sane? Nothing, yet. Give me a month or so to find sanity, and I'll let you know how I hold on to it (tightly. I don't plan to ever let it go again)

My job. Most people like getting home from their jobs. But I love going to my job. I got super lucky. I started an internship at my local computer repair shop at age 16. They were impressed with what I already knew prior to starting so 3 months later I got hired. And I love it. I don't know what I would do without my job.

well ive been able to write lyrics in my head(don't have the music part down, im bad at that) as of recently, oh and i listen to The Who whenever i feel upset. For the last half year i have been writing a story/concept album in my head. Jim Morrison did the same thing, he wrote lyrics to accompany the concert he heard in his head before joining the band. I dont know if that was completely sane, but maybe im not.

A combination of video games, my friends, the internet, and the occasional introspective stargazing do wonders for the massive quantity of stress that builds up as a college student.

I'd go to parties, but I fail to see the point in relaxing in a hectic, loud, and heavily inebriated environment.

Between the craziness of the world and the local crap that goes down, people go insane, go borderline, or somehow hold onto that precious thinking pattern. So Escapists, what keeps you from going batshit bonkers?

By going crazy. Nothing keeps you sane better than voluntarily going crazy? Now excuse me, I must go and have tea with Jesus and Jimmy Hendrix. Toodeloo!

Music, there is such a variety of music to go with any problem I may be having at the time. Always there, and able to put almost anyone in a good mood.

Um...keeps me sane? Hmm...I think I passed that line a couple of hundred miles back. I still act sane, which is funny, 'cause everyone around me seems to think I'm the only sane person left on the planet.

It's hilarious.

...execute Order Sixty-Six.

Moderation. Doing just a little bit of everything.
I got stuck in a really anti-social rut as summer ran down and everything was changing but I felt like I was on a treadmill doing absolutely nothing with myself useful...

then things started falling back into place. Girlfriend(-ish), job, the sun itself, parties, video games, classwork, friends, exercise, the lack of drugs cept for my debonair baccy pipe... Pretty awesome.

I feel like a supreme pile of shit when these aren't happening.

Grr... it's too late to bring out the pipe... Too tired for the hour it takes me to go through a bowl... but you know... you gotta' use the whole bowl sometimes... like now... And everytime I do it so... Meh, two and a half weeks have passed since my last one... Another day or two definitely won't hurt(in fact it will better my health but, yeah)

this may sound terribly cliche, but its the complete and utter truth. Gaming and Electronica music. That's what keeps me sane...that and my 2 closest friends.

It used to be by music, reading, and videogames. Now it is pure determination. Dont have the attention span to read (long), Im good enough at playing guitar/bass where songs are either too easy, or too hard to play, and ive practically sworn off of online multiplayer, and videogames in general :(
