Pardon me if I'm misintrepreting what you said, but I'm pretty sure these projects aren't exactly going to be Crysis/Witcher 2 level (or whatever is the current benchmark in prettiest PC graphics) games.Hazy992 said:I probably would if I had a gaming rig, but I don't so no![]()
I can't run pretty much anything. I have a laptop with an integrated graphics card.Wuffykins said:I happily splurged $250 into the Wasteland 2 fund. Nothing else has really piqued my interest so far (and there's always the option to buy them when they're complete), and I had the money since I'd changed my mind on an arcade PCB I'd been saving up for, so signed collector's box was an easy decision.
Definitely can't wait to see what Obsidian would offer if the Kickstarter craze keeps going, as I'll try to keep some leftover monies aside for them as well.

agreed on this. 15 bucks now? you betcha. i funded wasteland 2 after seeing some of the people they got working on it and what they want to accomplish with it, rather than having publishers stink it up, this game will be frickin sweet.Fappy said:It was always an investment. I see, are going to see any of the profits?Fappy said:What investment doesn't come with risk?Crono1973 said:..and they may all suck and you never would have spent a penny on them.Fappy said:When you fund it you can usually get it for less than half the price with the money you used to fund it. All the games I funded I am getting for no additional cost (I funded what amounts to a fraction of what their retail price will be).Treeinthewoods said:The only way I would invest in a games development is if I was being promised a slice of the profits, just the promise of a game itself isn't enough to get me giving a developer my cash (oh hooray, I paid you to make it and now I get to buy it!)
I'm with you on this. Also, does anyone even like Chrono? Seriously, negative nancy about everything. He sounds like the publishers that denied these games to be made which lead them to kickstarter in the first place. If people don't take risks because their precious money is on the line, then we'll constantly be flooded with CoD clones and "safe" games that pander the greatest audience possible all for the sake of maximum profit. Congratulations, your attitude is why so many games are bland, uninteresting, repetitive and derivative.Fappy said:It was always an investment. Investment =/= monetary profit.
