Motorola Defy. I wanted a Phone that isn't as flimsy in Design. I would've given the iOS a Chance but sadly that is bound to the pathetically flimsy iPhones. Companies have the wrong Idea in their design Philosophies. The mobile device is something that is supposed to be carried around all the time. So, no Smartphones for People who use their Muscles at Work. The Defy was a (failed) try to make a Smartphone that wont scratch when a fucking Fly lands on it.

I work in a Quarry that is being rebuilt as a Museum. I use my Smartphone to quickly draw Stuff to show how i want Things done. "we place these Rocks in a Half-Circle leaning on that Wall over there like *this*, fill that with Dirt and we'll something to display this old Minecart!".

I got the first scratch in it after about three days when i forgot that i had my Phone in the Pocket and put a few screws in there. Blech. Scratches on a Display wouldn't matter much as long as i can still see it. But this is also the control Surface. If it weren't a touchscreen, i'd just put a thick layer of scotch tape over it like i did with my old Phone.

The Industry can not provide a Smartphone durable enough for my Needs. Although that would be rather easy. Take the Motorola Defy and add a physical Keyboard to it that can be closed onto the Display. Like the Nintendo DS. Scratches on the Back won't matter to me. Scratches in the Touchscreen do. I'd like a Phone with the aforementioned physical Keyboard, with the Gorilla Glass of my Defy (which has been astoundingly Scratch resistant, just not enough for me.) a faster Processor (800 mhz aren't cutting it) and maybe a better Camera. The Defy being waterproof is awesome. Washing your Phone gets rid of Fingerprints in a Heartbeat :D.

MOAR BATTERY would also be good. i don't care if the Thing weighs twice as much. It is rather light, probably they made it lightweight in Order to have less kinetic Energy do deal with when you drop the Phone onto concrete.

My Contract lasts another Year, maybe there will be some better phones out by then.

An old piece o' shit, whose name I don't even remember, that I got from my father when he traded up.
I don't want to trade up, though. I don't need a modern phone, because I only need something to text/call when I really need to.
Not to mention, I would never want to use a modern phone, for fear of losing/breaking it.

HTC desire z. A silly decision in hindsight, it's slow, and unresponsive. I wish I got the iPhone, or a a better HTC.

Thank you. You are not the only one. Perhaps we need to start a support group?

I've never had a cell phone and do not want one. I have private time where I cannot be contacted and I really, really, REALLY want to keep that.

Well I´ve got a Sony Ericsson K550i. It`s not new, no touchscreen and stuff like that, but it has worked well and I´ve liked it. Sometimes it seems to get a bit laggy or something like that, but other than that, works fine. Best alarm clock I´ve ever bought.

HTC One X

I was able to upgrade from the HTC Desire the other week and the offer for this new phone and price plan was one I couldn't refuse, very happy with the phone. Want to go Skydiving and take photo's with it just like the advert :)

Samsung Reality because it was inexpensive and doesn't look terrible. Also, I like having a QWERTY keyboard in addition to a touch screen. Touch screens are nice, but I don't like having to depend on them.

iPhone 4S. They came to my wireless provider (Verizon) just a bit before my 2-year plan was up and I was due for an upgrade, and I've already been using iTunes and an iPod for awhile, and had gotten an iPad as a Christmas gift the year before, so I had already bought apps and stuff for it, so it just seemed like the right choice. I'm really happy with it. It's got a bunch of nice features and a ton of cool apps.

I've got an old Sony Ericsson from 2004. Why do I still have it? Because it still works. I can text with it and call people with it. I don't need it for much else. I've got an mp3 from 2006 to play music on (Though that one actually does need to be replaced. It's limit is at around 40 songs... I just haven't gotten a new one out of lazieness).

T-Mobile G2 AKA HTC Vision. Why? Because it has a physical keyboard and runs Gingerbread not that Froyo nonsense.

I am actually one of the very few minority that has never owned a cell phone. I've never needed one, and also hate talking on the phone, so having one would just be a waste of money I don't have.

After some research, I've found that it's apparently called the Samsung Alias 2. Why do I have it?

Yes, those are both the same phone. Yes, that is the ONLY reason I got it. I don't ask for much from a phone.

got a Sony Xperia S last friday, first smart phone (I only change phones when the give up the ghost)

It's a great phone, but I doubt I'll use 20% of the features on it
