How do you know when you have had a thought if you don't act upon it? Think in terms of dreams have you ever seen or been reminded of something in a dream ,and then thought did I just have that dream or had I had it before? So is a thought justified as thought only if you can act on it?

I am just interested to what people have to say on the subject. Because if it is true then you could say that everything you do or say is preordained by chaos theory or action/reaction on an infinate scale.

Keep in mind this is not proven just one of many many different theorys of how our brain works and cannot not be tested yet. So what do you think?

You know you a thought is a thought because you thought it and thent hought "That's a thought, that is".

And now the word thought sounds weird.

That depends, a thought could be of something that you cant change, you can try and act on it but you cant make that thought real.

If thats what you mean

Think of it this way. Your thoughts control your actions so your actions are in turn thougts. But my problem is what if your action is to forget or ignore that said thought was it a thought? Another way to put it is that voice in your head that you use to facilate actions is it real?
