For me, for a sequel to have any quality, it must not introduce an entirely new plot, not have any "gimmicks", or introduce any new characters out of the blue. This is why I like book series with plots that span a long area of time (sadly, I haven't found many of these). What makes a good sequel for you, fellow escapists?

Better gameplay and story. And graphics are always nice. But mostly gameplay and story. Which is why I didn't like AC2 that much. I want both, not one!

Well, it needs to blend nicely with the first story and not make you go "WTF?!" without good reason. It must also tie up some key plot points that were left unresolved and if a third is coming leave it to be a loose knot.

But this is the sequel to that thread.
