Ok, so i was looking threw some movies to come out in 2010 and I saw The Karate Kid trailer http://www.apple.com/trailers/sony_pictures/karatekid/ doesn't look like anything i saw in the other movies. Would this be a remake. Are spoofs remakes?

remakes are when the take something old and do it again may make small changes but usually has the same story or feel

It is when you remake something.
Might not be an exact word for word reproduction,but it has the same basic concept, and title, and characters.
