So i've been doing a casual study on what situation will consistently make me mad, happy, sad, and feel lack of emotion towards. What I've discovered is that I don't get "mad" per se, but I do feel the rage of 1000 berserkers fighting for the ones they love against a oppressive empire, but I digress.

Anyway, what consistently makes you angry or sad?

Also, I'm using this as a repository for some pent up rage. Just to let you know.

1. Ignorant fools. Fuck those people. I'm not talking people that just derp around and say stupid things because they don't know any better, I'm referring to people that KNOWINGLY DO STUPID THINGS and just decide not to correct such mistakes. While this may be a "well duh" kind of thing, it never the less makes my blood boil.

2. Technologically illiterate people. I'm mostly okay with people of this type. I'm okay with the old professors that don't quite know how to work a projector. The young kids who always need help doing things on a computer. But, if someone makes a decision that is obviously counter intuitive to how technology works, I get angry. FUCKING angry. More so if that decision is about something that they have been told time and time again that "hey, you are wrong and need to learn _____" but WON'T LISTED DUE TO LACK OF CARING ABOUT DOING THE RIGHT THING AND JUST DO THE EASY THING. I'm not some kind of super-genius person that can learn anything from just watching, but I at least TRY to fix my deficiencies when it comes to knowing stuff.

3. People that spread their stupidity to children. NOPE. JUST NOPE. THESE SHOULD NOT EXIST AROUND CHILDREN. THESE SHOULDN'T HOLD AUTHORITY. THESE SHOULD NOT ADVANCE IN SOCIETY UNTIL THEY LEARN THAT THEY ARE WRONG AND NEED TO GO GET SOME SENSE KNOCKED INTO THEM. LET THE CHILDREN DECIDE FOR THEMSELVES. IF THEY FUCK UP, THEY FUCK UP. IF THEY DON'T, THEY'LL MAKE IT FAR IN LIFE.

4. People who judge absolutely based on slivers of evidence. I know FAR too many people who are like this. They look at someone they don't know and basically judge them based on SO little information its like they are connecting two COMPLETELY different things and calling it fact. They are the people who might make a connection like "snow is cold. The ocean temperature is rising. LETS PUSH ALL THE SNOW INTO THE OCEAN"

ugh...

Y'know what I learned from this? I hate myself. I have fit into every one of these categories at least once in my lifetime. The only one that I don't fit into is really the first one. I actually make a conscious effort to improve myself and avoid doing the things listed in this list.

1. People who can't do stuff because of someone else. Basically the slaves, the underlings, the captives. Anyone who is denied the freedom to do what they want in their life.

2. People who can't catch a break and when they do, life kicks them in the balls.

3. People who have been scarred emotionally because of reasons beyond their control, but have come to terms (or at least think they have) with their problems. This is more of a sad-happy thing than sad. I feel pity for these people, but do not give them any because they do not need it. People who haven't come to terms, however, make me mad.

4. People who unwittingly doom themselves. This applies the most to media. These are the people who don't know how to use the powers bestowed upon them and accidently destroy all that they know and love in the process of learning to use these powers. This is mainly because I just finished watching the first episode of Kotoura-san. My god them feels.

So, what makes your blood boil and/or feel sadness?

Okay. Thats it. The captcha system on this site is psychic and sentient. Its only a matter of time before it begins taking over our unmanned drones. Who is with me when it comes to defend against the oncoming war between robots and human?

I really get mad at people who use the phrase "an hero" in real life. I have actually gotten into a couple of...let's call them skrimishes...against people who used that. It's very personal to me, and degrading it further makes me mad.

I also get slightly agitated with people who use their gender or race or sexuality as a point of uniqueness in something unrelated. Like the old phrase "I play video games, and I'm a girl" when being a girl has nothing to do with what we are talking about. "I don't eat meat and I'm black" was one I heard today when I was talking to my friend about vegan-ism. I didn't understand how being black made any kind of difference in the conversation.

The only thing that really makes me sad is I have to deal with a girl at work who I have a major bad history with, and every fiber in my logical brain tells me don't even bother with her in any way, but my irrational mind is still insanely attracted to her. I get sad because I'm constantly at odds with it and I can't find a middle ground. I'm lame I know.

Angry: Ignorant people, like you said, Hypocrites, and people who aren't at least willing to try something before turning it down, unless they have a good reason.
Sad: Honestly, very few things make me "sad" Hell I've barely cried at my own family's funerals, but anyways, I suppose "people digging their own graves".
Also at the end of your rage list, that little section, everyone has something they hate about their personality, though I've done my best to fight through mine.

Yep. I believe that whole-heartedly. If a man thinks he can attract the love of his life through the use of shiny things he is most likely mistaken.

Not everyone.

Some of us are so egotistical we don't hate a single thing about ourselves. Me, personally, don't have one single thing about myself I hate.

On Topic.

Anybody that gives shit to my wife and kids. If there is one sure fire way to piss me off, this is it.

People parking in my space outside my house. We only have 10 houses on this street, out of those 10 only 3 of us have cars. Because I have the gable end my neighbour thinks it's okay to park outside my house because it's easier for him. Oh we've argued about it but he's quite old so it didn't get to fighting stage. I really don't like him though and parking outside my house really pisses me off.

Misanthropes. "I hate the world" well, the world just called, it said the feeling is mutual. "I have lost all faith in humanity" oh just fuck off. These folk irritate the ever living shit out of me. If any kind of person ever made me want to grab them and choke them with their own intestines it's these people.

Text talk or whatever else they call it. I hate it. If people can't be bothered to type out a full word then I can't be bothered replying. I could almost understand it when mobile phones first became common, we only fit like 40 words into a text but there is no excuse for forum posts or conversations that don't need to be rushed. Whats even more irritating is i've heard people talk like that ... using IM talk in a face to face conversation .... tossers.

What make me angry-
Whenever anyone question my social life and job related status.
Anyone argue me in a negative way. I'm competely fine in a heated debate but to accuse me of something or calling me a jerk or etc, now you just pissed me off!
Any minor things that annoys me.

What make me sad-
Bad things happens to anyone or anything I like.
Bad things in personal life (like the manager of the store I worked in had passed away weeks ago).

I don't get angry all that often but one thing that consistently angers me is when people complain about their own life when they do nothing to help themselves. They just want things handed to them and that's not how life works, work for your life.
The other thing that slightly annoys me but mostly just makes me sad is when people write something off when they've never tried it.

And uninformed opinion being spouted. God I loathe it.

Gun control threads make me both right now. I read a few posts and slowly just start feeling like there really isn't a reason to post. It just isn't worth it.

Angry
Racism and hatred of immigrants
Overly defensive fans (though to be fair I suppose we all can be this at times)

Sad
People with rigid absolute beliefs

Angry:
People who think that theirs is the only "right" way to live one's life.

Sad:
That so many people doing honest work struggle to make ends meet.
Deception and dishonesty - I do get angry at first, but soon it's just "meh" disappointment.

I've seen you say this quite a few threads. Does he obstruct you at all? or is it just "Go park outside your own house prick!" kind of thing?

OT: What makes me angry? people invading my personal space or going through my shit.

What makes me sad? Lot's of things really. The top one is probably animal abuse, that shit is not acceptable.

I'm a personal trainer and i'm in and out of the house 3 or 4 times a day with various bits of equipment, equipment that isn't the easiest to lump around.

We don't have the nicest weather round here so i'm lumping said equipment through rain, snow and whatever else gets thrown down.

Because this moron can't move his car 2 meters i've got to lump said heavy equipment through the shit weather twice as far as I would if he'd get the fuck away from my house.

Plus he drives a shit car and I don't want people thinking it's mine.

"Feminists." I put a sarcastic quote around it, because I'm not talking about the real, respectable feminists who've actually done some good in the world; I'm talking about the snot faced swines who are spreading the word that all women are victims and should be given special treatment (because that really helps me come across as an independent, capable woman, doesn't it?) and always insinuating that men are heartless, violent, power hungry and incapable of caring for children.
People who get paid to whine about the littlest grievances, making women like me ashamed to be associated with the word "feminist" at all. People who, when I inform them of the ugly truth, throw hissy fits and call me a failed woman. Nobody likes to hear that women abuse their husbands as much as vice versa; that men get raped and that women rape too. Nobody wants to hear that some women are terrible mothers and that some men are brilliant fathers. It just doesn't make for good PR.

Actually, I am rather disturbed that I rarely ever get truly angry or sad at things. Knowing both of which, makes me angry and sad. If that makes any sense.

Rather, I am angry that I feel as if I cannot properly convey emotion, and I am sad that I actually may have a problem with empathizing with others.

Well... Since I am a human and humans feel a wide range of emotions for a wide range of reasons...

The things that make me sad are the things that make me sad. The things that make me angry are the things that make me angry. Sometimes something will both make me sad and angry, sometimes it might make me angry and happy, sometimes sad and happy, sometimes just sad, sometimes just happy, sometimes just angry, sometimes just any of the range of emotions in any number of combinations.

Today things that have made me angry are how much I love my subjects at Uni. I got so into doing reading for one of my subjects that I missed a lecture. This makes me happy, because reading gives me joy, and angry, because I missed a lecture, and sad, because I am unable to talk to my friends post-lecture as the rest of my day is full up.

Today I also got Far Cry 3 as a late birthday present from my girlfriend. That made me happy. And occasionally angry (Experiencing bugs, some odd ones. Like invisible walls that sometimes prevent me from walking into buildings or up stairs). You get the idea.

Trying to create a list of all of the things that make me sad or angry just sounds like a way of making me sad or angry. At which point one would have to add "Making lists of things that make me sad or angry" to the list of things that make you sad or angry. Which is just confusing!

You know what makes me sad though?

People who try to break down all of their human emotions into a string of binary "Yes/No does this make me sad" questions in order to form a list. Cause there is so much more to life and it is impossible to predict such varied options.

This is why I asked what made people consistanty angry/sad. No one can predict what they will feel at any given moment in their life, but they do know what things to avoid in order to avoid feelings that they do not wish to feel.
