Because scootaloo looks up to rainbow dash, and rainbow dash is the coolest pony(in my opinion, of course).
It's Zero from the Megaman X series, possibly the coolest character to come out of the (second) original Megaman series. And it's the black version, only available by cheat. I think it's awesome, despite the fact I haven't played Megaman X in years.
