This ^ is a perfect example of people who don't read even read the OP's post.

But, on the thought of Crysis, I just thought of another excellent game: Alien Shooter, it's a Russian game, not so old, but 2D, isometric, really old school. It's the perfect game for stress relief, nothing like shooting thousands of alien bugs with a minigun. It's again a bit short, about 3 to 6 hours.

Also, if you haven't played them already, Max Payne, and Max Payne 2. I have a 4/5 year old computer with 512MB RAM and a Geforce 2(?) GPU. It struggles on MP2, but it's just about playable.

BTW, don't get the second Alien Shooter though, Alien Shooter: Vegeance, that's really crap, you have to spend hours looking for hidden items. And there's some of the most retarded level design ever.
