I really hate the fact that I can't go into any city becau- STOP RIGHT THERE CRIMINAL SCUM!!!

On a more serious note: I hate it when I try to argue a point and the person I'm arguing with basicly says " I don't care about your about your argument because mine is better." or anything along those lines.

Parents that want all responsibilities associated with their children to be taken away from them. 'Oh no, I bought my child this 18 rated game, and it is shockingly violent. It should be banned!' No, how about you take some time to find out why it's rated that way and if you don't think it's appropriate then don't buy it for your child. These are the parents that want every single thing relating to raising child made law so that they don't have to actually make a decision about their children.

EDIT: Also, people who think that a good method of debate is insulting the person you're arguing with. No, I will have a reasoned and coherent dicussion with you, I will not trade insults thank you very much.

People who fight tooth and nail for their opinions, without proper logical arguments to back them up, speaking as if they're the sole source of knowledge in the universe and have no tolerance for anyone else's opinions that differ even slightly.

Just...how can you think like that?

You know what really grinds my gears? The holier-than-thou almost militant vegans/vegetarians, when those people start their whining (looking at you PETA) something makes me want to just shove a cheeseburger into their mouths to shut them up.
Oh, that one's me. Guilty as charged. Also meat is murder and you should feel ashamed of yourself. :3
agreed, i understand vegetarianism, but for gods sake it DOES NOT AUTO MAKE YOU A GOOD/BETTER PERSON!
Dude being vegan make you super human, someone didn't watch scott pilgrim vs the world /snicker.

OT: what really grinds my gears is when people talk about race . Not only racism ( which makes me wantto punch anyone that says something racist) but even if it's like : well he's asian so he is smart or you should know how to dance because your black .( im black btw and no i can't dance i suck at basketball and i like jrpgs, fuck you stereotypes!) . The worst is when people use racists words even though they aren't sayig anything mean . My assisstant manager once said to an arab guy ( they are frienss btw ) that he had ****** lips ( meaning big lips ) , i look at her in shock, she replied , what i didn't mean it in a mean way . Needless to say i lost all respect for her after that .

Oh and also people that make fun or fat people . Being fat is not a bad thing , it's perfectly poasible to be fat and in perfect health , like you can be skinny and in terrible health . Also fat is just a adjective like tall , skinny , short , muscular etc... People come in all shapes and sizes ( except triangle ) they teach this shit on seasame street , when will people understand everyone cannot and will not be skinny! I like my women fat so ... I find it insulting when people look down on fat people ( even though i'm not fat)

I'm sure you hear that a lot. Actually, I kinda wish I did. I work at a bar and while I haven't yet had any problems I'm always waiting and I hope it turns out like this. I'll probably burst out laughing.

Anyway, another thing that grinds my gears, those stupid group-friendship-working-together-workshops that EVERYONE has to do some point in their life (for some unknown reason). You know, the ones with butcher's paper and markers? In fact, butcher's paper and markers grind my gears. The moment they come out you know you're not leaving till you've made four more unnecessary friends that'll last about five minutes.

Vegan=superpowers, not good karma =P but yeah i saw scott pilgrim (own all 6 comics and bluray spec edition). Btw on the fat people thing, i get what you mean, i feel pity for certain fat people. if its a glandular thing you cant help, than fine, not your fault. I also get fat people who are just like "i dont care if im fat, I LOVE FOOD!". I just dislike fat people who either A) claim they arent fat, denial is unhealthy =P, or B) whine about being fat when its because they eat too much. If its not your fault or you accept it fine, but dont whine as if your helpless.

Hmmm, I know what I want to say, but the last time this was brought up on the Escapist, there were explosions. Then again, I want to give an honest answer:

Bicyclists that ride in the middle of a road. Look, around here (I repeat: around here0, I don't see many bike lanes, and the dirt paths along the roads are meant for bikers. So why the hell is it I turn a corner, and then have to slam on my brakes and attempt to break through a line of cars in the other lane while going 15mph? Especially since all the bikers have to do is move a few feet to the right? It drives me insane.

So many things "grind my gears" I've learnt to ignore them. Most annoying one is probably TL;DR. It's either used where it really isn't needed, say for two complete sentences before it *gasp*. Or it is used correctly but should have read "TL;DR: Don't comment if you can't be bothered to read my well presented discussion as your answer will probably be way off base or irrelevant"

People against used games, (I believe the system is kind of screwed up ATM, but it's all we have for budget gaming) health nazi's (I will be as healthy or unhealthy as I damn well please, if I start to hurt constantly, sure, I'll change, but LEAVE ME THE HELL ALONE!) and.... the anonymity of Xbox Live. Christ... I personally think that there should be EXTREME repercussions for uncivil behavior on Xbox Live.

Call centre (center?) operatives. I got phoned up by them once:
"Hello, can I speak to Miss Amelia Duckworth?" My sister went back to university 500 god-damn miles away a month ago.
"She's not in and won't be for... about three months."
"Ok. Can I ask you some questions about a Dell Inspiron laptop that was reported damaged?"
"I wouldn't know anything about that. It's not mi-"
"Do you know how it got broken?" I got pretty frustrated because my friend had just killed me for the second time while I was AFK on CoD (I forgot to tell him).
"I have to go." Then she called up every 30 minutes for the next four cock-gobbling hours to leave messages. GRRR. Also, some people claiming to be tech support kept calling, but we knew it was a scam so I put the phone next to the TV while playing Black Ops - great fun.

Family Guy.

I've lost the reason why I used to watch it anymore. It's pretty boring me for now.

1) People telling me to calm down
2) People that act extremely cheerful when you're in a bad mood
3) People that use numbered lists to illustrate a point
4) People

You know what really pisses me off? Those stupid chain letters in facebook. The latest one I saw went something like "People want things like iphones, cars and ipods, but a person with cancer only wants one thing... to survive. I know most of my friends will think "they are too cool" to repost this, but I know my real friends will".

First of all, unless you're actually donating to a charity that supports cancer research (or whatever the next facebook chain letter is bitching about), or actually working on a cure for cancer yourself, stop acting like you're so damn superior just because you took five seconds to copy and paste some pointless message on facebook.

Second of all, I am really getting sick of the whole "if you don't repost this stupid message, you are not a real friend".

Finally, wanting something is human nature. It doesn't matter if someone has cancer; I'd be willing to bet money they'd want things other than to survive. They'd want to survive so they could experience other things. Honestly, there is no point in living if you want absolutely nothing. So, people who post these facebook chain letters, get off your high horse and cram a sock in your mouth!
YES!!! This a thousand times. This really, REALLY grinds my gears

Pretty much with my family like-

Telling me how to live out my life (I don't give a danm that I'm anti-social that who I am and proud of it!).
Criticize me for being unable to find a job.
They say I should learn to speak Chinese properly. (Why should I learn when they always counted on me to speak to a English person during a customer quries call?)
They don't close their bedroom door properly so I get woken up easily when they talk, get up in the morning or going to the bathroom (I'm not a heavy sleeper).
And keep asking me on how to use the bloody mobile phone! (I lost the amount of times they had asked me that due to their forgetfulness).

People who complain about the phrase 'I could care less'.

For starters, it does actually make sense, in an odd way. It helps if you say it in the right tone of voice, like 'well, I suppose I could care less'. It implies you care very little. And also, why pick on it? There are hundreds of batshit insane expressions in English that make far less sense than it, and it's frankly worse than the usual grammar nazism when people pick up on the phrase. It's just irritating and pedantic.

Right now; at this moment in time is the new Catwoman costume for 'The Dark Knight Rises'.
It's such a bland, and unoriginal costume. I am so disappointed. Catwoman's supposed to be sexy, not frumpy, and to me that costume is ho-hum at best.
See for yourself.

Right now, people who respond with "in your opinion" when they don?t agree with you. No shit, Sherlock. Of course it is my opinion. Almost everything that comes out of my mouth is my opinion. Do need to state that every time I say something?
On a similar vein if your discussing something you don?t like and someone(who probably dose like it) comes in and calls everyone whiners or goes on about how pointless it is to talk about it. We are only allowed to discuss things we like now? You can only shoot praise at a game and should never mention the things that you didn?t like about it?
