What should I cosplay as?

I have been going to Anime North in Toronto for the past three years. Great times have been had by all but every year I promise myself I will go in costume but never do. Mostly because I can never make up my mind on who to go as. This year I decided to have someone else decide. recomend any character from any anime, manga or video game. I have no rules except that it cannot be a Naruto character or any Bleach character except for Kenpachi (I may have spelt that wrong). As a side note, if you were there last year you may still remember me, I was the guy riding around on the unicycle.
But I digress, anyways, I need a good character.

From the top of my head, Scott Pilgrim is always fun with his fluffy jacket with the "X" on it.

im male, pretty thin, tall, hair is light brown but i'd dye it for cosplay. I also wear glasses but I can function without them.

basically, most characters could work.

Roy Mustang is a classic and pretty fun cosplay to do.

If you have friends going with ya', it's fun to go as a group cosplay, and makes it easier since you guys are all coordinated. I'm not huge into Anime anymore, but I usually enjoy going as game characters. I did the Sniper from TF2 last PAXEast, and plan on going as Francis York Morgan from Deadly Premonition this coming PAX.

But yeah, are you going with anybody?

Too many possibilities. I'd say take a character you like, one that has a relatively simple costume (if you haven't cosplayed before, you don't want to go picking something complicated) and run with it. Personally, I like doing characters that are unique, ones that you don't normally see (I've done Dr. Wily and Quailman and they have both been big hits and were simple to make), so I avoid more popular franchises like Bleach or Final Fantasy, but that's just me.

Since Anime North is in May next year, you have plenty of time to prepare any of these cosplays.

Failing that, just cosplay as Light Yagami. Contacts might help since you wear glasses.
