What should I do?

Okay so battlefield 3 has been released and Skyrim is just around the corner. I am a huge fan of both the Battlefield series and of TES. My question, escapists, is what platform should I buy them for? My PC is old now, I'm running 32-bit XP on a 2.2GHz athlon dual core (overclocked to 2.6), 2 gigs of RAM and an nvidea 8600GTS 512mb. So. Like I said, it's old. I also have a 360 however.

Now my personal preference would be to get both for PC, and while it meets minimum specs for skyrim, I'm still scared it would struggle to run it nicely. Battlefield 3 would require me to upgrade to windows 7. And I have no money.

So the advantages for xbox are, skyrim was developed for xbox and ported to PC (correct me if I'm wrong). My friends will be running bf3 on xbox too. Also the reliability of games running smoothly on xbox. Also I won't need to upgrade it.

Disadvantages are: far smaller maps on BF3. Lack of mods in skyrim. Lack of immersion(personal preference here, I'm more easily immersed on PC.)

How would you ever run mods for Skyrim on that, though? Get it for the 360. Your computer will barely handle it as it is, and mods always bog down a system.

Unless you can save up in the near future and fix up the computer, then I'd suggest waiting a while on Skyrim until it's patched and everything and go the PC route. But that's a few hundred bucks.

Otherwise, 360. Especially for BF3, who cares about smaller maps if your friends are with you?
