I swear if the "Xbone" moniker sticks I think I'm done with the gaming community for this generation. It sounds insanely stupid, just slap on XB1 or something like that and move on. It's almost as bad as the period where people took up ZeroPunctuation's moniker of calling modern military fps games as 'spunkgarggleweewee'. Also consoles don't need "nicknames" they just need shorthands.
Xbox 360 is just the 360, Playstation 3 is just PS3. Those aren't nicknames and we really shouldn't start using nicknames for consoles.

I'm Team Xbone, but I do like this. Honestly, this new console looks like a vaguely design-friendly air humidifier. That's probably the only thing this bloated atrocity doesn't do yet.

XB1 has been what I've been going with for formal purposes. But I do love "Xbone". I don't know where it started, but it spread like wildfire and has been used in just about every gaming site I go to. And it just fits so goddamn well.

XO sounds good but I prefer XBone. It is the XBox One after all...all you're doing is taking out an X and an O...I guess that's where the X and O went! To form another good name for the new...media device. I'm fine with calling the Xbox One the XO, XBone, NeXtBoX, etc but I'm not going to call the thing a games console.

I was thinking XOne, pronounced "zone."

That sounds cool but it makes me think of Final Fantasy VI (XOne, Zone, X-Zone) which is something I could never play on a Microsoft console.
