i agree with End of the World, but for VNV Nation, i'd have to say, Sentinal and Tomorrow Never Comes off of the new album Of Faith, Power and Glory possibly even Defiant.

i might even go so far as to say the chorus from Collapsing by Demon Hunter it's ment to be about a single person, but i think the chorus alone fits wonderfully for humanity as a whole
