I obviously mean something slightly more awesome that real life warfare, where you shoot a few bullets, hide behind cover, and contact HQ to have chit chat.

I'm guessing you meant "than" instead of "that"... Yeah that's not quite how it works. After you get into cover, you shoot more until the other guy stops shooting or you're given orders to do something. The only person that talks to HQ will be the Squad leader (cpl or equiv) and he'll tell them "contact, wait out". Afterwards he'll try to figure out whether to retreat or (if they have sufficiently small numbers) advance or flank.

At least that's what we're being taught here in the army (reconnaissance regiment).

Edit: PS: you'd never EVER have a chit chat. Your ass would be so chewed by the end of the day you tried to have a 'chit chat' especially in a combat situation over the restricted net, you wouldn't know what had happened to you. Ref: 2 weeks of learning signals, and using it in field exercises.

About the military stuff. I'm 16, I haven't been in the military yet, so what I said was just assumptions. Also, when I said "chit chat" I meant talking to the HQ. I just switched the words for the comical use.
