The last one is more melancholy than gut wrenchingly depressing, but I likes it. Nevermind the video part of that, it just had the best sound quality I could find.

And that was Klaus Nomi's final performance before he died. Gives it a bit more of an impact, I think.

Gloomy Sunday.
Bjork's version is particularly poignant to me. She played it at Alexander McQueen's funeral. Not embedding because it's reputed to literally cause suicide. Also not sure how to embed.

Throwing in a ubiquitous Cats in the Cradle along with the rest, not too sure why It affects me the way it does but it gets me every time. That and Last Kiss cover by Pearl Jam, gets me every time.

Dead Man's Gun by Ashtar Command, Bury Me Not Lone On The Prairie by William Elliot Whitmore.

I didn't link or embed either due to the possibility of uncovering Red Dead spoilers

This was my breakup song with my current GF when we went through some things. It still can make me cry. But listening to it helps me deal with things.

Because that song is just... damn.

Because the world is fucked up. And I don't know what to do to fix it.

Emotion Sickness by Silverchair. That song (admittedly that album wasn't exactly cheery) always made me feel a bit of heartache.

This song was actually in the movie Kingpin, and it's great, but it's so sad, which is kind of hard to believe.

It makes me depressed, which I get the feeling was the point, and it's probably the only song by Slipknot I think I like.

A boy and his frog by Tom Smith. Makes me bawl my eyes out every time I hear it.

Suicide's Frankie Teardrop is probably not what you are looking for, because it is soooo incredibly depressing, and terrifying, and strange.

Slightly less depressing, more shall we say sobering, is Gil Scottt Heron's Pieces of a Man.
