What Street Fighter IV character do you use? And Why

I would like to know as a fan of Street Fighter what is your character in Street Fighter 4
and why you picked him or her (you dont need a why, just if you want to)

For me I use Akuma,
total badass looking guy and a awesome Ultra Finish Combo also it was fun to unlock him

Probably Gouken. Makes sense considering the majority of the game is countering- and no one does it like him.

I alternate between Sagat - total beast, Sakura - fun to play, similar enough to Ryu/Ken to be familiar but different enough to feel, well, different, and Rose - I guess I just wanted to play Rose. Also, ShamWOW Ultra.

By SF tradition, I'm a Guile player, but I'm having trouble making the transition and instead am finding success with Cammy. I do love C. Viper's fresh play style and I'd love to get good with her.

Sakura! She plays a little like Ryu but she's quicker and her dragon punch travels further... her hadoukens suck big balls though.

PLus its fun to beat your friends using her and then mock them for losing to a schoolgirl.

Cammy, M.Bison (Dictator) and Akuma. I'm much better with Cammy than with the other 2 though.

Akuma hasn't been toned down as such. He takes a lot more damage than most characters (second only to Seth IIRC), but his full Ultra (2 revenge bars) does 70-75% damage, which is fun!

Zangief- Lariet through hadokens can throw some spammers off a bit
Dan- It is DAN!
Sakura- A lot of people forget that her ultra/special hits low not high

I noticed many years ago that I will never be the best at fighting games amongst my circle of friends. So I just started using characters I familiarize myself with. I used to use Sagat, especially in Good Ol Alpha 3. But then I went on a mission, after losing constantly.

Now in all fighting games I use any character that is a Pro Wrestler, not only because of my love of the business, but to prove one day that Pro Wrestling is a respectable fighting style. In a real street fight, all you'd have to do it Piledrive someone once to become famous....and you don't even have to fly into the air to make it badass.

Cammy. 2 reasons:

1. She's the closest thing to Elena in SF4.
2. She has an awesome voice actor.

Dan-I really want to learn how to play Dan because to me he now represents that bridge between the reality and fantasy of "martial arts"(in a video game sense). Probably the most normal person in the group.

Even a proficient Dan will be having a hard time against everyone else in the game, since Dan is very much the joke character of the series. (Oh come on, super taunts that drain the whole super bar?)

The only game where Akuma is overpowered is Street Fighter II (and its numerous updates) where he isn't even meant to be played. In all the other games, he dishes godly amount of damage, sure, but the moment he's forced on the defensive, it's basically game for Akuma.

I hope you're right. Funny thing is, there are so many iterations of SFII, that they overshadow Akuma's appearances in other iterations. I've mainly dealt with him in Super Turbo thus far. Even in HD Remix where they attempted to balance him, some of his attacks' giant hitboxes weren't altered enough to make him completely fair. Also, I'm sure you remember his classic stall tactic of air-fireballing in the corner, which is hard to counter. What's worst is when an opponent in online play uses Akuma exclusively and draws opinions about his worth as a player from this.

Well Akuma takes 3/4 of your health down but its easy to dodge but he is a little to powerful but it evens it out with his health being easier to take down than the others
(I Hate Seth Worst Final Boss Ever. Just throwing that out there)

I play Bison (Dictator) because he's the only character I know how to use. Easy controls, easy crossups / mixups, and one of the coolest Ultras in the game (right up there with Akuma, Gouken and Fei Long). I love poke-based characters, but since Bison is so high-risk I've been trying to pick up a zoning character like Sagat or Gouken.

Unfortunately, round 2 of the Gamestop tournament had 2 Zangiefs and 2 Balrogs, and I got owned

From a flavor perspective, Viper is actually very interesting. It's too bad they made her rely so much on joystick gymnastics. (I whiff focus cancels all the time, let alone her high jump nonsense!)
