Back when I was just an egg I played a demo of In Persuit of Greed. The game was waff but the music from the intro got lodged in my skull. I'd listen to it on repeat I flew about in Elite 2 making worthless, worthless, money. Even today it's still pretty heavily ingrained.

You aren't actually alone in this. In the northern wastelands of England (that's anything north of Birmingham), people actually love that song and have it played at weddings and parties because they are backwards and stuck in the worst part of the 80's...

all i know is that evertime i mention that i like it, and i've mentioned to various people with different intrestes, i get shit for it. so i've concluded that i must be a bad song based on popular oppion...it could be one of those cases of people saying they hate the song just because its popular but whatever

I bet it's because that song in particular is associated with the Daredevil movie.

But if that's the case, throw that song into my list too, because I like Evanescence's first album.
